Was at the dealer today because they did not put in the 4 body plugs that reduce road noise. While I was waiting to see if they were in stock or has to be ordered, I had the sevice mgr look up SB 18-079. It came up in his Honda computer that the update is for All VIN #

I will be back in for same issue as before (it did not get fixed) and will insist on 18-079 again. Just where are these body plugs and how do we check them?

the 4 body plugs that reduce road noise

What a bundle of questions you just raised! You detected too much road noise so you looked for a reason? How did you know about these plugs to even determine they were missing? There are 4 body plugs whose sole job is to reduce road noise, but they don't install them at the factory? Or for some reason are they shipped with the car in a baggie and your dealer threw them away? How do we check our Clarity road noise plugs?

While I was waiting to see if they were in stock or has to be ordered, I had the sevice mgr look up SB 18-079. It came up in his Honda computer that the update is for All VIN #s. He also told me the updates are like Apple iPhone updates in that every successive update brings the car up to the current level so there is no skipping an update so to speak.

They had to order my body plugs from a warehouse in Cali. Some body was napping during the pre delivery inspection evidently.
4 body plugs?
Pictures or descriptions where they are located would be very informative. I!ve had several Honda’s and the new car dealer inspection is never filled out. Wonder whether the dealer just takes off the plastic and just puts them on the lot? Have been very reliable though.

Didn’t do it over noise. Found them in a doc on the Pre Delivery Inspection that @Atkinson kindly sent me. It seems the dealer is supposed to install them. Mine didn’t and I made them order them. It has a diagram as to where to find the holes. I made another thread because it has a lot of other goodies, especially the long sought metric on when our HV battery is replaced under warranty. Who knew it would be found in this obscure SB 17-093.
The other thread with this doc and my highlights from it is

Our car has been stuck in multiple warning mode for there days. I disconnected the 12V battery twice.

The car is in EV Mode and we can't select HV or any other mode.

Does anyone know what the car will do when we run out of battery juice?

I'd suggest you add the local, Honda-approved towing companies with flatbed trucks to your phone before you use the last of your battery power driving to your dealer. Yours is the worst instance of this problem yet reported here.

Jdonalds, have you had the multiple warnings bug fix done with SB 18-079 yet? I’m curious to know if that fixes it or if it still occurs even after the fix.
Sorry to hear your Clarity is having this problem. Sounds like other than that one problem, you love your Clarity as much as I do mine.

Just for your situational awareness, several months back my wife was on the highway, 500 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon, when the dash on her 2016 Acura MDX lit up like a Christmas tree. At the time, she was on adaptive cruise control behind a car and going around a curve. The car slowed down, lost power, and left her on the side of the rode driving less than 40 mph. It scared her to death. The issue cleared after shutting off the engine for about ten minutes and hasn't reoccurred since. So, computer glitches are not unique to the Clarity.

Even in EV mode if you "punch it" while accelerating it should turn on the ICE. Will it do that? Are you able to charge it?

I'm scheduled to have the patch installed on Monday. I'll certainly publish the results.

I do love the car.

I was not able to try this because I checked the car today and found the car had healed itself. It first exhibited the problem on Wednesday. So 4 days it wouldn't clear even after disconnecting the 12v battery twice.

Still heading to the Honda dealer tomorrow morning.

Just came from Honda. The car is fixed (we'll see). The technician said the problem was caused by the dashcam I installed. Apparently the fuse I chose wasn't a good choice. He got a brake code which led him to the fuse box and my tap.

Did he recommend which fuse to use?

@jdonalds, there are some empty fuse slots under there that you might use.

Sorry for the delay answering. We were evacuated in the Redding CA fire and still unable to re-enter our home. I'm finally in a place I can use the laptop.

I'll try using a different fuse location but for the time being we just cut the power cord to the dashcam. I don't know why it would have worked for 8 months the way it was.

Here is the note from the Honda service event:

Caused by
Verified multiple dash warning lights are on.
P0102 MAF sensor low voltage C0041-14 brake switch signal circuit error U0416068 VSA brake actuator malfunction, visually inspected MAF sensor and brake actuator switch connection and for damage and no problems found, found customer installed aftermarket dash cam and tied the power supply to the MAF sensor/brake actuator.
Caused by
Switch fuse circuit #21 under-dash fuse box. Disconnected aftermarket dash cam devise and re-installed fuse, cleared all DTC, road tested ok.
(spelling and grammar errors included)

One interesting side effect of this situation...

My wife and I continue to use all of the features including LKA, ACC, etc. but complain about how brainless some of those features are. But when we had the multiple warnings we couldn't turn on any of those features. Then we realized how helpful those features are. Now we're glad to have them working again.

Sorry to hear about the proximity to the fire, I hope all is ok. As to why the dash cam could cause these errors, it's possible that some kind of voltage fluctuation or signal insertion due to the dash cam triggered this. Only time will tell. As we all know from these forums, multiple system warnings seem to be a problem with the Clarity and they do go away after a system reset or clearing action. So whether that was what happened to you or it was triggered by the dash cam we will have to wait and see.

And two weeks ago Emissions Systems happened again after charging overnight and driving 3 blocks. Stayed on 2 weeks until overnight charge after rain cooled things down to low 70's. Next time I'll see if spraying water on it before overnight charging will "fix" it. Also had a loss of head unit for about two minutes, just like a automatic restart after a windoze update. Wondering if TSB's that are not valid for some is due to differences in software for my base vs others touring. i.e., dealer said HV fix didn't apply to my VIN and I got it December 2017.
