No inbox visible on the mobile app, so I hope a post is ok. As a thread, I'm wondering if a regional thread would help. ie. Canadian Owners . The Clarity in Canada is a slightly differerent car, so questions about it might be slightly specific. (battery heater, etc). I can see that generally all of the northern states and Canada would benefit from a cold weather driving forum.

Canadians also face shorter supply, different pricing, different rebates by province, different service bulletins and different driving conditions.

  4. Hmm. Canadian Clarity Concerns, eh? That's certainly something to consider. I believe we have a few threads about Clarity in Canada. Maybe we could put in a shortcut to one or more of these.

About the app, there should be an icon resembling an open envelope on the top. Do you not see that on yours? (I'm using the Android version)

I think you should add facility to provide search word, and all posts with that words should appear. That would be fantastic

  6. That isn't the case now? I tried a few different words in the search field at the top and it seemed to work, aside from common words like "that."

    Online manual!
Or maybe if there are specific country differences to mark the thread with a "flag"? There's a few forums out there, but so far this is the one that I've found the most active.

I've noticed that you can't search by phrases. For example, I was looking for a thread about "key fob cases". I would typically input "key fob" AND case to get me all threads that include the phrase "key fob" but also the word case. The quotes or AND don't work. And if I simply enter "key fob" without the quotes, it gives me an error saying too short or too generic.

  9. I'll check to see if it's possible to offer Boolean search. Since I suspect it will not be, here's my workaround: Search InsideEVs Forum.

Either bookmark or just remember that website + site: gives you Google search for a specific domain. Just be sure to leave a single space after the colon.

Maybe include some bulleted pointers to threads already made like "My EV range is falling!", "My dashboard is lit up!", "My ICE turned on again!", "What's a good EVSE?"…

There have been numerous threads on the combined subjects of maximizing energy efficiency (and fuel efficiency) and why the Clarity PHEV's gas engine sometimes turns on even when there doesn't seem to be any need for that.

I suggest picking the more enlightening of those threads, and put that in the FAQ, with the suggestion that new members read thru that thread before posting questions on the subject.

    Indeed!

A Google search on --> site: insideevsforum.com [insert subject or word string here]

...is a very useful search tool.

Yes all weather mats.. used for 2 weeks.

  16. Sorry, I missed this post yesterday.
Yes, that is fine as long as it's personal, as opposed to commercial. We have a classified section just for this purpose.

Is there a way to pay to get rid of ads in the app?

  18. Hmm. This is something I'll have to ask about. I tend to use a laptop so they ads are pretty unobtrusive, but I can see how they might get in the way using a smaller screen.

Yes...install and ad blocker on your computer.

  20. He's referring to ads on the InsideEVs Forum app, and I'm not sure there's an ad blocker that can reach those. I just spent some time on it, though, and they weren't especially annoying. I had to really look for them.
