Today, I spent 3 hours reading my book at Motor City MINI while they did the HV Battery Recall software update, the battery cover replacement, and the 4-year service (brake fluid and cabin filters for $360) on my 2021 SE.
As with the previous software update, I lost my AM radio and I had to go searching the menus to turn the clock screen-saver back on. However, something changed that I didn't expect: the way the fan-speed LEDs are displayed.
Now, when I turn the the fan-speed knob, only the one LED indicating the position of the knob is lit instead of that LED and all the LEDs to the left of it. Is this a setup setting I can change? Can Bimmercode make those LEDs behave the way they did yesterday?
There's a window-wall between Motor City MINI's customer lounge and their shop area. Here's ELEKTRO in the center, just before the technician plugged a long yellow cable into the OBDII port.
On October 6th, my Power Spoke wheels will come out of the basement for the 4th time to replace the Loop Spokes for ELEKTRO's appearance at the local Drive Electric Week gathering. I'm such a nervous driver when the Power Spokes are exposed to the outside world, so full of evil, greedy, concrete curbs! One DEW gathering was on a rainy day, so I didn't change the wheels, I just brought one Power Spoke wheel with me so I could discuss how a designer's asymmetrical styling idea required engineers to design--and MINI to manufacture and distribute--a special appliance to balance this wheel. I also bring before and after photos of the
fake hood scoop exorcism I had performed on my electric car 4 years ago.
