That’s only a 23% reduction in range and would be consistent with colder temperatures and use of heater and defroster. Batteries are not as efficient at colder temps and the cabin heater uses a surprisingly large amount of power. We PHEV Clarity owners (especially those up north) have seen even worse reductions in EV range in winter. If it’s not a problem with the FC, then try reducing heater use by using the seat heater which robs much less power from the battery.
How much did the temp go down and how much are you using the heater?
Thank you — it is the actual “Range” when you fill it up with Compressed Hydrogen gas that has gone down. For example, it your tank can hold 6 kg of Compressed Hydrogen Gas, it now only states on the instrument panel that you can max out at 5kg of capacity. Capacity of available CHG should have nothing to do with heater or cold weather in my opinion. This also means I am filling up more frequently!
