Bluelink (whenever it is working) is great to check car status.. remotely climatize, lock, unlock, locate the car etc. etc..
Whenever it's working, it's a great tool.. Problem is that it often has issues.

And I really never have a need to have an app do any of those things.

Personally I like that if the vehicle were stolen, the police could contact Bluelink to get the approximate location based off cell towers (no GPS in my model) and as a result, my insurance company gives me a discount.

I have the SEL which doesn't have a navigation system but I believe that the car still has GPS as the bluelink location is usually dead on which is almost impossible with cell phone signal only.

May charge tomorrow.. Have to make a trip to Costco about 60 mile round trip and I'm at 61% now.. may be in the mid 40% range.. That's low enough for me to make it to the 50kw charger.. I may try to charge to 90% to see the 2 charging breaks at 80% and 90% that everyone is talking about..

Sounds good

All the trims have a GPS, you just don't get a navigation UI in the lower ones. You also
have enough XM radio, even without a Sirius subscription, to receive data about charger
locations. The car's infotainment headend then figures out enough to list charging
locations in distance order from where you are.

Sounds big-brother, but if you've cut the bluelink umbilical it's all receive-only.

Charging right now on 50kw.. Speed seems to be the same so far.. However, on Torque Pro, the indicators for max deterioration and min deterioration cell numbers are now populated. Those were always zero before the update..

it appears to me as if they added 0.5% to the buffer as the charging rate dropped 0.5% later. I don't think that they changed the curve..

Maybe the pause only happens when/if cell balancing happens and until it is complete. If all is good, the pause may be negligible. Can't see that just a check by the software should take 10 min. Computers are fast.

My cells are within 0.02 Volts, so, maybe it was not needed.. Interesting thing is that the deterioration parameters seem now to be populated.

This seems the most likely. Checking happens at 80% and/or 90% and the BMS will attempt any rebalancing necessary for up to 10 minutes. If it can't rebalance the cells in less than 10 minutes due to the heat sink problem with passive balancing maybe it throws an error and halts charging, otherwise charging resumes as soon as the cells report balanced?

For what it's worth a local owner had the first charge work out as before the update but problems started with the second charge.

He said the (trickle) charging stopped at 94% and asked for my opinion a few days ago. But then he never replied or updated his post despite posting elsewhere and being the admin for the group. I asked again for a reply but frankly I'd prefer to see your data on charging performance.
