I don't know, I did not change any of the settings yet since I did not put any LEDs in, I just did the screenshot of what it showed. Why is “brake light” an “unassigned value”?
That is a funky setting, but it's intriguing. Do all of the driving modes still work, and you're saying just the display changes?•Sport mode Honeycomb background (which also makes mid grayed out, and Green/+ actually green)
Correct, it's just a visual display change, modes still work normally. It overrides sport/lounge ambient lighting settings as well, so what you see is what you get. I only use green/+ or sport mode (mid is pointless IMO), so I enjoy the visual change. That is a funky setting, but it's intriguing. Awesome. That pretty much matches my list of coding changes… but what are “all the usual” ones if not on that list?Milage as of 7/10/22: 2382
Mod updates!
Cravenspeed phone magnet mount. Fantastic mount, great quality and perfect for this car that has nowhere to put a mount anyways. Only dislike is the price, feel like a $50 price point would be more reasonable, but also understand the r&d and quality control that goes into making a perfect fitment and capitalizing on a this market. Magnet could be a tad stronger for a little more stability, but the phones won't fall off. Rated 9/10.
Cheap reverse light replacement set still gave me the random flash in drive/park. Tried the recommendation to change the coding in bimmercode for LED upgrade but didn't make a difference, wasn't getting a error anyways so doubt this was an issue anyways. I think just cheap circuitry. So for those that have got them based on my recommendation hopefully you haven't had issues.
With that said, decided to go higher end and went with GTR lighting Carbide 2 bulbs. I've used this brand before and they are great, just a lot more expensive. These bulbs pull about twice as much power (21w!) as the other ones and seem to be about 10-15% brighter real world and an even crisper white. No issues yet! $75

Also made slew of bimmercode changes. Of course did the common ones, but did some more that I don't know if I really seen talked about.
•pedestrian warning sound (ah so much better!).
•disable seat belt warnings
•disable start up warning
•disable horn when lock with car on
•HVAC memory
•driving mode memory
•rear taillight DRL
•Door handle lights turn on when in reverse (extra light on the sides is nice!)
•seat heaters adjusted to max settings (I know controversial, but I found the high setting to be lackluster and I highly doubt a 10°f max increase is going to do anything besides use a little more battery. Can definitely tell the difference though!)
•welcome lights stay on 60 sec
•welcome lights all soft on (lights fade on instead of instantly)
•welcome lights reverse lights on
•Sport mode Honeycomb background (which also makes mid grayed out, and Green/+ actually green)

And yes, I'm still working on the charge port light. Parts should be in this week.
So which were the cheaper ones that gave you the problem? Was it the Auxito brand?Milage as of 7/10/22: 2382

I also want a hot button toggle to nix the reverse warning sound, for late night arrivals at home. For the taillight DRLs — a personal requirement I’ve mentioned here in the past — did you code both inner and outer? I’d assume so.

I really like the way you did the color for the speedometer driving modes. Where is that in Bimmercode if you don't mind me asking...Milage as of 7/10/22: 2382

Yup! Got it!!! I really like that one!!! Thank you!!!Not at allI believe if I remember off hand right, it was under like instrument cluster > sport mode background. I believe gradient is the standard view that the SE has by default, and for me, the checkered and honeycomb options were flipped (checkered = honeycomb).
Also went no logo at the top of the screen. Less clutter.

I did pick up those LEDs based on your earlier post and thankfully they haven't given me any problems yet. I also made the setting change in Bimmercode, so we'll see what happens.
I believe the configuration options are minimized because there are so many clueless dealers. MINI doesn't want to create additional support problems by offering more configurable options than a dealer could comprehend.I find it cool that these features are built into our cars, but I don't get why Mini does not allow us to change them in the regular display settings.
Which brings me to a question that I have every time I read about newly discovered Bimmercode capabilities: Why isn't there a comprehensive web page that lists every Bimmercodable option and how to implement it?
I wish for the same.I believe the configuration options are minimized because there are so many clueless dealers. MINI doesn't want to create additional support problems by offering more configurable options than a dealer could comprehend.

The Bimmercode support page does list the options supported, though doesn't contain a huge amount of description of each option, but most are fairly intuitive: https://bimmercode.app/cars/f56/Which brings me to a question that I have every time I read about newly discovered Bimmercode capabilities: Why isn't there a comprehensive web page that lists every Bimmercodable option and how to implement it?

I still haven’t coded my car, and I would love to see this!
I wish for the same.
I wanted to code my keyfobs trunk button to start climatization, like I had done on my i3, but the options were a bit different on the Mini so I didn't make any changes yet. I may futz with it again later...
Yep, definitely German. There kinda is a list here: https://bimmercode.app/cars/f56/
But if you know German (I think), you can go in expert mode and code directly and could do whatever your heart desires (like the climatize on trunk button, that would be cool). But you really have to be careful, probably more likely to screw up the car lol.
In my golf R, had similar coding options that were fiqured out and "simplified", but there was some features that required coding in "expert" mode, which was also in German, and that always got me a little nervous since I don't know German. I just waited until someone fiqured out and copied their homework lol.
