Lots of brand new info from Pre Delivery Inspection doc; esp. on battery replacement

I found plugs installed, but wow is this car complex!
I have never seen an undercarriage like this.

For those who are curious, here's a great 4K video of the undercarriage slowly rolling by (it's right at the beginning of the video)

Wonder why those plug holes exist to begin with and why Honda leaves it to dealers to install those. Suspect it has to do with transport.

Wow. Its a little sad but my dealer was not in the loop on part of the check list. I also had 50 psi in each tire and the li battery was at 2 bars. I will check for the plugs but probably not installed. Thanks for sharing.

I checked and mine does not have the plugs either. Just out of curiosity, how much of a difference do the plugs make in term of noise? Can someone who has the plugs give us your opinion and do a test with and without them? And how many do have the plugs vs. not. A survey?

I am thinking for winter and if these plugs are not installed , salt and all sort of stuff enters in which is very bad for folks in Canada and cold regions for corrosion stand point on top of noise issue..

Well that's a relief. Mine were installed. I'm amazed because they delivered my car with only two bars (empty) on the drive battery, which is also not supposed to happen.

I did a search in the trunk and found the plugs in the bag that contains the front license plate bracket. We don’t need a front license plate in our state so they probably didn’t notice they were in there. I plan on installing them tomorrow. Thank you for pointing this out because I never would have known what they were for.

Oh my! I think I now remember seeing something like those in the bag with the front bracket. Now if I can only remember where I put that bag back in February.

Perfect timing for this as I'm picking mine tomorrow. Was supposed to be today but two of the three finance manager were out and had a backlog of deliveries. A the same time, salesperson found me a car with 6 miles as the other ones they had in the lot had 30+

He showed me the car but wasn't prepped, though it had been charged.

Let's see tomorrow if it was really "plugged"

The documents that came with my car include the filled-out PDI checklist. Section 4, "Under Vehicle," calls for the inspector to raise the vehicle on lift to full height and, among other things, install the body plugs. That item is checked off on my checklist, and indeed the plugs are installed.

I'm amazed to hear that some of your cars don't have the plugs installed. This is a very common item; Honda and other manufacturers have used them for years. You'd think it would be completely routine to install them. On the other hand, even if your dealer didn't really perform the PDI, I'll bet they were paid to do it by Honda. I wonder if any of you have the PDI checklist in your documents and it is not filled out or signed.

I work at one of the ports here in California driving new cars from ships that have arrived from Asia to the railyard where they will continue on their journey. Those plugs are in a bag in the glove box of most of the cars I drive, along with the key fobs.
