What did you do to your MINI today?

I installed the DTE Pedal box, I have tried it out for a few days. The acceleration is nice with the sport and sport plus modes but the car is for sure less smooth with the regen braking. I am going to try and see if I can find the ideal setting otherwise send it back.

Have you kept your Pedal Box, if so how has it performed? Did you really notice a quicker 0-60, they claim that it can increase times by up to 10%. I actually purchased one the other day, tried installing on my 2023 SE/EV, but whole bunch of "error messages" came up, then I could not even start the car. After talking to a Mini repair shop, told me to remove the Pedal Box, leave the car turned off awhile and then try and restart, as this may reset everything, fortunately everything was OK, but now I am hesitant to try and reinstall again........
I have Both Bimmercode/Bimmerlink, but could not even access, as you need to have car in start (IIRC?). Mind you, if I do try and reinstall, if same thing happens, then removing, letting sit again with engine off, it should reset and be OK again........
Have tried searching to see if anyone has U-tubes or whatever for this on their SE/EV, but can not find anything, so any input would be much appreciated, thanks!

Pedal Box just fools the DME throttle position mapping. Back in the day it was called a sprint booster. So like 10% throttle is 15% and so on. Race map was 100% at 70%… very snappy.

It’s doesn’t add any power just improves throttle response. It’s snake oil within reason. It doesn’t increase power, range etc

My new tires showed up. These will go on soon. My wife took out two of the Goodyears by running over a piece of slightly exposed rebar last yearView attachment 24031
I’m using Nokian all ! Weather tires for 5 months on SE and I love it rain/snow / dry they excellent having them on Subaru for 2 years have some experience- low rolling resistance build for EVs reinforced with keflar and soon I change them with Hankooks for summer and I never heard from anybody to use a Nokians only winter tires hakkapeliitta try to spell this crub IMG_2023.webp IMG_2024.webp

Now that winter weather is behind me as of yesterday, I switched from my floor liners to my floor mats for the summer. Replacement summer Goodyear Eagle F1s are on order to replace my worn-out ones, will get those next week.

Need to find a euro label for the F1 Asym 6. They rate highly on several of the tire/tyre review sites, are priced closer to the Firestones than the Michelins, and are as light as the Indys, too.

I almost went Michelin but couldn’t justify the extra nearly 400$. Didn’t push it hard in the rain and the tires aren’t broken in but turn in feels way better

I found a euro label for the Asym 6 and the efficiency is just a C. But it tests well on Autobild and other tests compiled at TR.

The PS5 tests well, too, but costs about 40% more. However, it has a 340TW (and AA A) and comes with a 50,000 km warranty. If they last twice as long as Goodyears, they might be worth it.

Honestly just enjoy whatever set of tires you want. The F56 BEV is one of the most efficient vehicles aside from the legendary i3 BEV at 8mi/kWh.

My U25 feels like a total energy hog, but I'll see what the summer efficiency is like after I swap back to A/S tires in May. I was averaging like 2mi/kWh during the winter and 1mi/kWh when it was -14F and lower.

Indy is 340. Goodyear AM3 was 300 but I just never liked them. They didn’t sit square on the rim and as I said just felt squishy all the time.

I filmed a video on it. I said get what suits your driving. You want more efficiency get such a tire.

I think I got 19k mi out of my stock kooks. I think about 25k out of my indys. On my second set w almost 60k on the clock. One of the only times I hear them squeal is when it's wet. Dry, they grip like I'm on rails.

If you want ultimate (summer) performance, I would recommend Yokohama AD09. They are threadwear 200 tyres, but boy do they transform the little beast. They have very hard sidewalls, and basically eliminate body roll. They will go round a corner much faster than I am willing to go :) Surprisingly good in the wet, but realistically a dry weather, summer fun tyre. Makes the SE feel truly like a go kart.

I am lucky that I can use them all year round. They have lasted over 12 months, and I will be getting another set when they wear down.

Yesterday Nigel ferried us 135 miles round-trip via the interstate to the country's biggest college party weekend (hitting 95 mph at one point but still averaging 4.0 mi/kWh). I rewarded him today with a spa day: wash, spray wax, plastic trim treatment, vacuumed, floor mats cleaned, etc. Now he's resting quietly, charging for tomorrow's much more sedate commute.

Shout out to the BRG Countryman who rule 1ed me in the parking lot at the stadium!

Once again I'm late to the conversation. I still have the Hankook which are on the vehicle when I purchased it second hand.
I'm not at replacing yet, but trying to educate myself when the time comes, since the EV mindset is new.
Has anyone replaced the Hankook with the PS5? The CR article (other thread) seemed to indicate that the effects on range
are minimal. Michelins are definitely heavier, but I like the AA A rating. Will I notice the weight? I don't have snow to contend with, but standing
water can be an issue. Every time I drive Piglet, it is the Bob Hoover style, since I'm no longer shifting, averaging at least 5.0 mi/kWh.
And then there is the Indy 500.
