What did you do to your MINI today?

It's great that you can see a measurable difference resulting from the considerable planning, spending, and belt-sanding you did. I'm glad to have you and your MINI Electric out there showing competitors what this unique car can do.
Most of the work was machining the wheels for more offset and redrilling them to 5x112. There was a bunch of measuring and finger-crossing going into sizing stuff up. The belt sanding was maybe 10 minutes each side.

In this case, it's what's outside that counts. Those fog lights look right, even though they aren't Lucas. Hopefully, those replacement LEDs inside will be enough for you to navigate the dark, foggy streets of New York City. ;)

What did I do to my Mini today? I was driving home from coffee with the guys this morning and drove over a patch job on the street. Immediately bells and whistles went off telling me to stop immediately. I could feel the car pulling to the right. Pulled over, got out, and saw immediately that BOTH the front right and the rear right were flat. I pulled out my handy air pump to re-inflate both tires. The pump would not go more than 15 psi. No jack, no tools in the car. The car said I should call Mini Roadside Service, so I did. MRS asked several questions (including asking if anyone was hurt and to verify my VIN). They called back saying that a tow truck would be there in less than 180 minutes. When the truck arrived, I asked if I could be towed home instead of to the dealer (closed for Memorial Day). The driver said no, not unless MRS approved going out of the area. Went to the dealer, and called my daughter to come and get me. I didn't want to wait until tomorrow, so we loaded my winter tires in her car, took tools (including a jack), and went back to the dealer. I changed both flats for winters and decided to drive home with two different sets of tires. Not recommended, although the only problem I had was the car telling me something was wrong with the inflation. (My winter tires don't have pressure sensors.). Tomorrow, I've got to go to the nearest tire dealer for new summer tires. (They were getting well-worn, I was just hoping to wait until fall.) Not exactly the best way to spend Memorial Day.

Sorry ! What you should do First you need wheel alignment and check what happened to right front Second most likely your both rims are bend that’s why you was not able to inflate them but to cheer you up my friend went over speed bump in Ferrari and fix cost him $12000 .

My speed-bump story: Fifty years ago I was driving my girlfriend's rusty, old Triumph TR3. We were going only about 5 mph over a speed bump when the old frame and front suspension went their separate ways, totalling the cheap used car.

I never forgot I was behind the wheel when my girlfriend's cute little convertible traveled its sad, last mile. What if I'd been going slower--would the car have been OK? She didn't hold the "accident" against me, but I've always felt guilty about it.

Not long ago I had a revelation: What would have happened to us had the front suspension instead crumbled at 70 mph on the expressway!?!? My burden of guilt was finally absolved. It turns out my accident saved us!

We're still friends even though she now drives an ugh-ly Lincoln MKZ. Now I'm the one with a cute British sports car (the best of the many small sports cars I've owned)--and I never worry about the suspension.

Rexio, to be clear... this was not a speed bump. This was a patch that was completely filled in. That being said, I will ask the tech at the tire store to check the rim. Thanks for the tip.

Fifty-six years ago, I had a Triumph Spitfire. The swing axles in the rear were very exciting in corners. Twice I had the rear end swing around if I braked in a corner - the first in a gymkhana and the second in a road rally. Very exciting.

If you drove over a patch on road which was flat and completely filled fixed what is physical explanation you loose an air in 2 tires at the same time on one side of the car I would love to know what will be explanations of your tire shop if they not located any nails/ screws or you should play lotto this weekend bc chances are the same like to win Mega lottery

I'm headed for the tire shop this morning. And I'm planning to go back to the scene of the crime to see exactly what that patch is. Most of the roads around here are not in the best shape. This particular patch didn't sound any worse than all the other repairs. Most roads sound like bumpity, thump, thwack.

Update: My tire guy reports that there was a small gash on the inside of both the front and rear tires. That leads me to believe that the repair patch I drove over (in the middle of the lane) might have had a wire or piece of metal sticking up. The rims were not damaged (big relief). He's ordered a set of Goodyears and I'm hoping for a Thursday installation.

I added an amateur radio antenna to my SE:

This antenna is for the 2m/70cm radio bands. (There's no radio attached to this yet; one reviewer noted that his antenna fell of rather quickly. I thought I'd drive around with it some before investing the time to add a radio. ) There very first drive, I saw ham plates behind me.

The base is a magnetic mount.

Have you decoded the Morse code mixed into the SE's "I'm awake" soundtrack? Unfortunately, some of it's obscured by other sounds.

What, not 160m?

I just received a text from my dealer. The amplifier needs to be replaced. They are expecting the part to be in on Monday. The service guys have already done a full car inspection, and sent me a video. Outstanding service!
