I now have 1 month of drive time on the Cross Climate 2 tires I got with my aftermarket 19" wheels (see Aftermarket wheels? thread for details).
Overall, I am very happy with their traction (better than the stock Continentals) and comfort/noise (equivalent to the stock Continentals). I have seen an efficiency hit of 0.4 mi/kWh on average, as shown in the summaries below:

September was all on the stock 19" wheels with Continental tires, and October was all on the aftermarket 19" wheels with Michelin tires.

Now that more and more SEs are getting delivered, I'd like to hear what kind of tires (or tyres, since it's a British car) people are getting.

My 2021 SE came with these summer performance tires: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 205/45R17

I've also been researching winter tires, since the sun's presence is noticeably diminished. My dealer has advised I wait two months in the hopes that MINI has official snow tire recommendations, but that's cutting things pretty close in my extremely northern climate.

So far the most likely winter tire I've found is the Continental VikingContact...

Thread 'What winter tires and rims do you use in the colder months?'

Hi, I will hopefully be getting my Kona in December, being my first EV, which will mean winter driving! What winter tires and rims did you get for your Kona?

I am aware that using non-oem rims will likely increase aero drag, but can't justify the expense for a couple more kms of range (I will curse myself the day a charger is 3km further haha).

I am looking at 16" rims from various stores (cause the tires are cheaper as well), including Costco, but most have an offset of 38mm-40mm vs the stock 50mm, meaning the wheels would stick out an extra 12mm from the side of the car. Has anyone...

Thread '2024 Fiat 500 e winter tires'

I bought my Fiat 500e last spring and need to purchase new winter tires for it. I understand that EV tires are the best ones for EV vehicles. Does anyone have a recommendation for the 2024 Fiat 500e? Which winter tires should i choose?

I have non-RFT Cinturato P7 summer tires and I can get up to 5.6mi/kWh (145mi+ range). Winter range drops down to 55 miles but it's not a big deal for short trips. Just remember, real cars don't shift themselves!

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get rims for the clarity? Snow tires are easy, but I want rims AND tires.

I found the specs in a Honda install guide for the 'upgraded' rims, but I can't find anyone who will sell me a set. Tirerack says they won't sell them to me based on specs - they have to measure it for themselves which won't be till late spring, my local tire shop says his distributors can't get any info to order them, and the dealer where I bought it wants $4k for a set of OEM rims with winter tires mounted on them!

Since my old post is mentioned, I've been using Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 snow tires with my MINI Cooper SE, but they've been replaced by a newer R5 model which I'll be using this winter. They also have an R5 EV snow tire, but those are 18" or bigger and my SE has 16" winter wheels.

I love the Hakkapeliitta tires, they're very good.
