What did you do to your MINI today?

Replaced my aging plastidipped grille surround and head/tail light rings w black plastic ones. Had to drop the front bumper to access the grille.

Finally replaced my yellow S badge on the front grille, after the dealership blew if off when they complimentarily washed my car during the last free service. Been sporting the plain black S underneath for quite some time.

Noticed that two of my bottom bolts were missing from the front lip. When it was still under warranty, I paid $500 to have them replace the temperature sensor when a rodent chewed through the wiring. After taking the front bumper off, I could've just spliced the wires back together myself, and I wouldn't have two missing bolts.

Found some 15" 5x100 wheels. Now I need to find some appropriate hub centric adapters. So far, I've found a set of 4 runs about $300.

I got 4.2mi/kWh one night last winter, in falling snow... I highly recommend Nokian wr-g4s for those south enough not to need hardcore winter tyres, which you do?
Summer tires are 205/45/17 inch Pirelli Cinturato P7 summer (non RFT) on black tentacle wheels and winters are 195/55/16 Pirelli Snowcontrol 3 RFT on loop spoke.

It sounds like your logical diagnostic procedure was conclusive and your SE is broken. This kind of problem usually happens two months AFTER the warranty expires. Because you weren't stranded in CT, and your warranty is still in effect, this is the rare breakdown that can be considered lucky.
As I predicted the dealer who work on my SE before about why car jump to restricted charging not to Maximum charging and send me to DC charger so laughable and my SE finally broke completely preventing charging at all on L2 is sending a SE to different facility after contacting BMW and hopefully an Einstein there is going to fix my Rexsio for good .Before when I call dealer courtesy car was available for November 12 but today they give me new ride right away as they find out is serious matter with SE .Here is my gas new ride. I post later what was wrong with my SE 2022. With 23000 miles .

As I try to charge SE Friday night for morning trip to CT my Charger was disconnecting car Charger as I try flip circle breaker disconnect charger plug from receptacle car display was saying not able to charge I was really upset bc this happen practically first time in almost 4 years reduced or max charge was always with this car from day first but never I was not able to charge with L 2 and the setting was correct for L 2 charging .Now I plug L 1 charger and to my surprise car was charging as I have 60 % L1 is going to take 16 Hr. To 100% .I try to solve a problem I drive to 3 L2 public stations that night and SE was not taking charge .Saturday I call dealer and have appointment for Monday for maintenance brake fluid / micro cabin filter $260 and $130 respectively and Im going to ask what is wrong with SE is still 2 months warranty to my advantage. I made trip to CT with my bulletproof Subaru Forester no. Issue since purchase in 12/2019 with only 35000. Miles on it .
Dealer upgrade computer to newest version and SE is charging on L2 again as I ask them if they fix or change any part they did nothing else . They check every thing on car adds fluids like 16 points check every think is in order . As maintenance requires flush brake fluid / micro filter and not surprise didn’t reset setting .I mentioned before my garage charger was showing faults when I plug SE to charge not any more .For curiosity I pass by those 3 chargers when I plug SE few days ago and that time cars were plug and charging .That is obvious my SE charging system was broken .How works again if dealer did nothing to it is mystery to me .

I was in Europe for 3 weeks. Drove from Germany to Norway and back with a Lucid Air. Charging infrastructure in Denmark, Sweden and Norway is hilariously good. Like living in 2050! The Lucid is a proper proper road tripper! I live in Quebec where EV infrastructure is good but we lack high power equipment. Norway was much like QC with legacy equipment but everything else there was 300kw -400kw everywhere. Insane amounts of charging. But Denmark was truly impressive, one location had 5 providers and more DC charging than almost Ontario… in one location. Better yet they also had 500kw as well. Lots of Electric bigrigs, tons of electric construction equipment. I was invited on a Mercedes Actros electric drive from Copenhagen to Bremen and to tour a EV Bus charging station/ Depot in Aalborg. I will make another trip in winter. The amount of electrification going on is just too much to take in

In Munich we stopped by BMW Welt and they had an Aceman on display. It’s actually much larger than I expected. We spotted a TON of JCW Mini EVs on the the road. I also charged up to a new Mercedes GLE

There wasn’t much going on at the Mini Pavilion but I managed to get a cool tote bag, some pens and a bunch of postcards for my collection

Thanks for sharing your great trips across the pond! What was the fastest charging rate you experienced?

247kw for a few mins. I had a Lucid Air Pure. I never really charged over 50% as there was no point. I got exactly what I booked but if a Taycan 4S was there Id have taken that. They did have A6 E Tron.. i have content up on my channel
