What did you do to your MINI today?

In no small part that's probably because so many are simply unaware of its existence.
That is an interesting statement. I was just at the Mini Dealership having some work accomplished on my R56. Chatting with
others in the waiting area, I can't remember exactly how I ended up mentioning my other Mini was electric. To the person, you could
read the look on their face "Mini makes an electric?" Too funny.

Not today, but on Sunday, I attended the BMW/Mini autocross event near me. Drove the new JCW, countryman ev, and X3. Didn't really want to drive any BMW, except for the I4, but they only had the i5 on my track.

Was impressed by the countryman's torque, but not its weight. I thought it was weird to have mini SUVs at an autocross track. JCW was nimble, but didn't feel anything special to me. Had pilot sport all-season tires, which was a bummer.

Like my SE and my 300 tread wear tires much more for corners.

Highlight was probably the compliment I got from one of the drive instructors who said that he didn't say it to everyone, but that I was the smoothest driver he was with the whole weekend. Minor compliment considering there were some horrible drivers, understeering turns, plowing cones on the opposite side, haha.

Anaheim? I was there on Sunday also, for the 2pm MINI session. Did not hit any cones. That Countryman SE can really move down the straights. The JCW hardtop seemed to lag I’m assuming from the heat soak or maybe just used to my SE and getting into it right after the Countryman SE. After riding with a pro in the Countryman they let me do a 2nd ride along, this time in the JCW with Cristian Perocarpi(MINI JCW team driver). He knocked down a couple cones on the far side of the track. Fun day.

Yeah, I was there in the a.m. I clipped a cone in the countryman bc I cut an apex too closely on the S section.

Today I saw an all silver SE at Costco w a flat.

You can also listen to the AI Gabe, that speaks really clear but has non-human like cadence. I especially love the text to speech clone when Deus is both pronounced Day-os, and Dew-ays 30 seconds later. Actually, I absolutely love the double intro for Holger Hampf at 0:56!

I love a people speaking a foreign language to me as I’m illiterate on computer being 75=yeas old just to make a statement on mechanical threads once a while as I know a best how a car system works as young owners are Happy to know how to plug EV to charge .

It's similar to how a Verizon worker was outsourcing his work to an Asian country so he could watch cat videos.

In the case of MotoringFile and BimmerFile, it's just very disappointing to see the blatant repeated use of artificial intelligence for both YouTube videos and all articles. Gabriel doesn't have to speak into the microphone anymore, he just gets the AI to read it out loud. That's why it's so disappointing because the errors are from laziness (and brain regression).

I'm afraid it's even worse than I thought. Mr. Bridger even publishes articles on Agentic AI (for his employer), and his LinkedIn videos are full blown AI. This is exactly what I mean by laziness is when there are random crossfades mid-word, awkward AI generated mouth positioning, 2 lazy eyes, and overall sloppy editing.

jerryrigeverything does the same for VO now. It's all AI Slop. Actually YouTube is really heading to be ALL AI Content. There are so many new channels pumping out AI generic content that instantly have huge subs and views because people love SLOP. YouTube is overrun with it.

I do like the multi language translation for organic content as it opens to new audiences. That's a nice tool.

Yeah I get the AI voice-over for those who are struggling with multiple takes. I still enjoy watching your channel because it's actually you as a person!

Thanks it means a lot to me. It's difficult fighting AI Slop content on a continual basis. But people enjoy mindless content with generic animations.

I am in Europe for 3 weeks soon including a week in Norway. Lot's of new content coming

I've been using EvGo plug and charge since '22. It's awesome. Only once has it not worked first try after getting it set-up.

I went to a BMW autocross event earlier this year. The BMW X3 M50 handled way, way too well for an SUV. The i4 was an understeering disappointment, horrible to drive.

I don't know how puppethead gets such good range. I can easily get 4.xx mi/kWh, but over 5 requires going slowly or an elevation change. I have been meaning to add pizza pan hubcaps to see if that helps. Some cars are greatly affected by wheel design.

I've already swapped to my smaller 16 inch winter wheel (RFT) and tires. The efficiency has dropped from 5.2mi/kWh to 4mi/kWh and lower as overnight temps are below 32F already.

I've been able to get 6mi/kWh but that's driving really slow in construction zones with summer tires.

I did the same, but drove the Minis first. Then I did the bmw side, and drove the X3. I wanted to drive the i4, but they only had the i5 on my track. After your review, I'm not disappointed that missed it. When I got into the X3, the instructor said, "well, this isn't a Mini." It wasn't.

I got 4.2mi/kWh one night last winter, in falling snow... I highly recommend Nokian wr-g4s for those south enough not to need hardcore winter tyres, which you do?

As I try to charge SE Friday night for morning trip to CT my Charger was disconnecting car Charger as I try flip circle breaker disconnect charger plug from receptacle car display was saying not able to charge I was really upset bc this happen practically first time in almost 4 years reduced or max charge was always with this car from day first but never I was not able to charge with L 2 and the setting was correct for L 2 charging .Now I plug L 1 charger and to my surprise car was charging as I have 60 % L1 is going to take 16 Hr. It sounds like your logical diagnostic procedure was conclusive and your SE is broken. This kind of problem usually happens two months AFTER the warranty expires. Because you weren't stranded in CT, and your warranty is still in effect, this is the rare breakdown that can be considered lucky.
