The best thing is get the brand name(s) they offer which it sounds like you already have and then do some online research. Of course sifting through a lot of different opinions is not always easy to make a determination, but there does seem to be some good information out there as tinting is so common, usually the good will float to the top. Might be worth postponing if necessary to allow enough time for research not only of tints but also installers.
I took your advise, did more research and went with a different shop/installer and did get a ceramic film.

Too lazy to browse the seven pages so someone may have done this already. I find the little 'blind spot extender' rearview mirror on the driver side pretty useless so I added this one:

pretty cheap at Amazon if you like it:

No one yet but funny I just did this mod to my daughters little Suzuki SX4. I used a different version from Amazon though but yes they work. I have these blind spot mirrors built in on my CMax, have gotten really use to them, and prefer them compared to Blind Spot Notification lights we have on our OutBack. Those are good too but the convex mirrors just have more visual information.

I have used rectangular adjustable ones sort of like this one before and liked them but they are harder to find

Sorry about the images not showing. I can't find instructions anywhere on this site on how to change permissions for viewing media.

I decided I like the look of the front grill without the chrome so I did the back and side chrome. Was not that hard but I am not going to quit my day job to become a car wrapper, looks good unless you get real close in a few places. For $25 and a few hours I think it is worth it and I can peel it off if I get tired of it or want to try again (have quite a bit left over, thinking of doing the mirrors)

More pics of the side and front please.

Has anyone does this on a gray Clarity? I am not a fan of the chrome and was thinking of doing gloss black, instead of the carbon. Don't get me wrong, carbon looks good, especially on white. However, i think gloss black will be better on gray than carbon. Any volunteers?

Too bad you can't put the stickers on the inside of the windshield, but with so many benefits, I get why you put them where needed.
I’m trying to get away with having the two stickers only as they’re not horrible looking. We will see...but yes totally worth it. Ever since I bought the car ive started talking to other PHEV owners at charging stations and I’m really surprise don’t at how many people went VHEV only because of the HOV sticker.

I sadly put gas in mine today also. Tomorrow is my second week owning it. I went 191 miles, used the A/C all the time and preconditioned the cabin. It looked to be about 2/3rds left in the tank. It took a whopping 2.382 Gallons and was $5.88 cents. My push mower needed gas and the can took 1.725 and cost $4.38.
I am a very happy new owner. :)
I’m excited as I filled up two Monday’s ago and still have 3/4 a tank of gas. It’s awesome literally having to have a journal just so I can remember the last time I got gas. Looking forward to seeing if I can truly go 6 weeks between fill ups. I’m like a Clarity pill pusher now...I love driving the Clarity around and letting my friends test drive it just to see how amazing it is.

I watch and listen to every thing automotive, l have a passion for cars and tech in general. I'm kinda feeling the word ceramic has become the latest marketing buzz word and may mainly just be that "marketing". I have driven by this Custom Audio/Tint shop for several years and never been inside. I am thinking they use good material and do good work. Research is good however.
I think you’re right about Carbon being a buzzword kinda like Keto. With that being said it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. I have noticed that it doesn’t seem to make a huge difference in heat inside the car temp wise. Now I do have a black interior and this was in 105 heat with no windshield cover. I’d be curious to see if adding the windshield reflector and cracking a window would allow the tinting to make a big difference

Nothing new for many of you but I charged for free for the first time today. Went to a movie in a nearby city and after the movie was over as I went to my car I noticed four EV spots in the theater parking lot, actually part of a shopping malls parking. All four were empty. I decided to let it charge while I went in the mall for a while. I was in the mall for an hour which took it from 58% SOC to 96%. At my nighttime rate of 0.05 per kWh including taxes I figure it saved me only about thirty cents off of this month's electric bill. But that didn't dampen the thrill of free charging!

When I came back after an hour there were a couple of other cars now charging. In the photo you can see my black Clarity in front of the white Volt which is in front of the red Leaf. Oddly in spite of being right next to the movie theater the sign said maximum 2 hours, which implies that it's for mall shoppers not moviegoers. I doubt if it is enforced that tightly, but if I go again I will resist the temptation to park there while watching a movie.
