That's a wrap!

Looks great! Now that's a true blue. And I love how the silver matches the trim on the nose of the car. Very nicely pulled-together look.
THAT was totally not even planned. I just thought the contrast would look good with the blue, and the tech agreed with me and said he really thought it would be good too. But then today when I saw it I told him holy crap it almost perfectly matches the silver above the front bumper and he said yeah it almost looks like it was intentional.

Wow that blue looks awesome and better than factory paint. My dealer scratched the hood a bit during transport and isn't responsive. A detailer recommended a clear bra over the hood and after these pics it seems to be the best option as it will fill the scratches.

But now I want to make my red Kona blue.

yeah they seemed to be pretty good at what they were doing. They told me that it needed some time and it would smooth out a bit - it sounds like maybe you're saying the same thing, do you have experience with it and have seen that happen? This is the first time I tried doing this and I'm very happy with the results, but I did think it would be nice if it had a little bit more smooth look. He had warned me earlier in the week that there would be some orange peel effect.

Well I was told it will cure and any bubbles will gradually go down.

Very nice color combo. Your car will certainly be unique.

Why would there be an orange peel on a perfectly flat film? Is this due to the adhesives on the back of the film?

Thanks! I think it would have looked great all blue too, but I really kind of like the contrast with the silver. As for the orange peel, they said the paint job already had it, I never noticed and probably wouldn't have noticed it here except now I was looking for it. I'm not too worried about it.

I will say my initial impression (it's only been 24 hours) is that this was worth it; however, considering the price I think if I had it to do over again I might instead just get the car painted this same color blue. Since the bumper is painted I can look at the two and the paint looks a little better, it has more depth and metallic sparkle than the vinyl.

I envision a future in which the dealership service bays are being used for customization rather than repairs.
Wrapping used to be only for commercial advertising but now anyone can have a totally custom mural like the 70's shaggin wagons. God help us, when mothers have pictures of their babies implanted in their baby on board color schemes. Now cats, I could get on board with. Hey CJC, how bout puppy pics?

haha, I noticed my pooch was in the background of one of the pics of the freshly wrapped Kona, anyone notice him?

Sweet! Say, so you guys know if the Ultimate trim comes w/ privacy glass (tints) on rear windows? Definitely something I will do if it's not already stock.... Thx!

I still tinted [ceramic] with 20% for the cargo door,passenger windows.It's really dark,good heat rejection. Driver , front passenger's 50% I think.

Just picked my car up from the detailer! Had full front PPF applied including headlights. Also had black wrap applied to the pillars, roof and mirrors. Looks slick!
Did you ppf the skirt area below the bumper that's grey, where the radar sits.I put ceramic on that for bug rejection
