That's a wrap!

I'm not normally a fan of "black out" schemes (I've spent to much time around pickup truck drivers who think black is where it's at) but I really do like the very artful treatment on the front end chrome piece.
The pictures aren't that great..... in person the contrast is great.... now I don't have to be concerned about the cladding going greyish on me . I dislike that

It's funny, I find I'm a bit indifferent to this blue as well but I have never had more compliments about a car colour in my life! Literally everybody I show the car to specifically comments about how much they love it.
Me too! Everyone says they love the color!

I'm still investigating though slowly. I did get one quote for $3000-$3400 but then they want another $750ish to deal with the front bumper and grille area. A bit too much in my opinion. So I'm looking at other options like just doing the roof and mirrors. (I think it's weird that the 2 higher trim levels have the single tone and the lower trim has the two tone - to me the two tone looks better)

How much of your car are you thinking of getting wrapped I got all the grey cladding front rear bumpers, grill, sides, wheel wells, in side he door jams, and top rails done for a $1000..

I was hoping to do everything and change the color to a blue I like better. But that might be too expensive, still pondering. I also asked about just the roof and mirrors and he quoted $850. Still high compared to some of the other comments in this thread, to me. This guy did point out that their techs are 3M certified... I still need to get some more quotes from a couple other places.

Where abouts are you? 3M certified does that mean they just brought the product from 3m..LOL

Dropped the car off last night for wrapping. Deep blue metallic for the base, silver metallic for roof, pillars and mirrors. They will paint the front bumper, the tech convinced me he could match the color of the vinyl. Should be done Friday, I hope. I will post pics soon.

Why did they have to paint the front bumper?

Wow that is sharp did they do a good job. It needs to cure for a while.

yeah they seemed to be pretty good at what they were doing. They told me that it needed some time and it would smooth out a bit - it sounds like maybe you're saying the same thing, do you have experience with it and have seen that happen? This is the first time I tried doing this and I'm very happy with the results, but I did think it would be nice if it had a little bit more smooth look. He had warned me earlier in the week that there would be some orange peel effect.
