Great idea. I will be wrapping mine, but haven't made the decision on the wrap yet. Waiting for it to warm up a bit too.People enjoy wrapping their vehicles in part or in full these days. For less than a paint job, you can customize your ride and protect the original paint at the same time.
This thread is to share info about and photos of your wrapped Hyundai Kona Electric.
Hey Brennan,Will be wrapping my roof and side mirrors gloss-black and protecting the entire front end of the car using Xpel or 3M clear PPF. Also waiting for the snow to go away and weather to warm up!

@WildeyedHey All!
So I got some news from my local Ceramic Pro shop in Oakville Ontario.
They said 3M released the template for the Kona Electric. Furthermore, they're willing to work out a deal with me and anyone else on this forum that's interested.
They're willing to wrap the entire front end of the car in 3M PPF. This includes the entire hood, front bumper, headlights, DRL's and entire fenders. Plus they will include vinyl wrapping the roof and side mirrors in the colour of choice (I chose black) for $2000 CDN cash.
They're a Ceramic Pro certified shop and a 3M certified shop. They also include full warranty on workmanship and material.
I'll be going ahead with this but I'm wondering if anyone else is interested?
Feel free to send me a DM or respond to this post and I'll provide you with the shops details if you're local to the GTA. They'll be providing me with the template layout as I'm interested to see how the front bumper would be handled.
Let me know!
I'm sort of interested but distance and my current circumstances make it pretty much impossible, I'm afraid. Like you I am interested in knowing how the pattern tackles the front end though, particularly because if I know it's out there for use I might be able to find a somewhat more local shop to tackle it. Good job with it. You're really a dog with a bone when you're on the case!
Can’t wait to see pictures! I’m not that familiar with how wrapping works but if a rock hits it and puts a hole in the wrap, are you able to get that area fixed at a reduced price?Hey All!

That’s correct. It’s super rare that the rock itself would puncture the film. But they have a warranty against such things and you you have that panel replaced for free or for the cost of labour!Can’t wait to see pictures! Just make sure with them that it is actually the whole front end. All the PPF dealers here that I talked to before and after it came out don't do the front part where the dimples are. Maybe 3M has found a way?
I don't know a whole lot about wraps. I've seen some work done on videos, basically. But, I was thinking the dimples on the front would pose a challenge. Ceramic coating sounds like a good approach for this part.You’re correct. I spoke with the installer and he said the template is missing the dimpled part. He said where the dimples are he would use ceramic coating. I don’t mind that as long as the vast majority of the front end is wrapped and protected. I’ll provide the photo of the template as soon as it’s send to me![]()
I will also be wrapping my roof and mirrors in gloss black. Got prices from $375 to $800. I’m waiting til it’s warmer here in BC at end of March. Will post pics.
