At least she learned how to drive with three pedals and to push (left and) forward for reverse. Should be no issue when you get her a ///M car with a DCT shifter.
 
IMG_7906.webp Im in London UK and SEs are literally everywhere here along with VW iD3. That being said I’m enjoying my Polestar 2 . Yes that is a Shell charging station.. EV charging here blows anything I have out home out there water
 
The SE is about the ideal car for London.
I was in the UK recently, but only saw lots of ICE Minis. Last time, I spotted an SE.
 
I saw my first SE maybe a year ago, in the parking lot of a local manufacturer. I assumed that it belonged to either a young or older engineer. I've since seen it there many times, and have seen several others (including a Moonwalk Grey with Energetic Yellow mirror caps and NJ plates belonging to MINI USA... will have to tell that story some time!). I've also seen what I assume to be the same vehicle being driven by an older man with a beard. However, today was the first day that we crossed paths and waved at each other.

Close encounters, Kevin Bacon, and all that...

2024 Premier+ 2.0, midnight black, body coloured roof, tentacle spokes, and malt brown chester leather. With all the toys.

Now trying to get accustomed to the use of the e-pedal.. still a little slow at the stop signs, where I now actually stop for a few seconds.
 
Is it wrong (or sad) that I could totally see myself getting a Lightning or R1T for the five or six times a year I need to haul household DIY stuff, and being totally OK with the decision? LMAO No seriously, I really can’t see myself ever driving a BROD (Battering Ram of Death), even if it is fully electric.

Wow, you'd use one that often as an actual truck? I know someone who has a 3/4 ton truck that is used as a truck once a year.
 
Yeah exactly, I actually gave half-hearted consideration to getting a Honda Ridgeline before I decided that would be daft, and I’d really rather drive another small commuter car 99% of the time, and rent a van or pickup the odd time I’d need one.
 
I have a battered old S10 from when I was fixing up houses. Once I started commuting to a real.job, I picked up an R53. My ex FIL was the last person to use my S10 to haul stuff, about a year ago. His Ranger died, I suggested he just borrow mine on the rare occasions he needs one.
I mostly pull small trees out and use it as giant wheelbarrow in the yard. I could use more subtle methods. I doubt that I'll be replacing it if it expires.
 
I’ve been hanging onto my '94 Crapolla (with 65,000 miles on the clock now) just for hauling junk to the Ecocentre (dump with sorting) and whatever building supplies I can fit in it or on the roof from Home Depot. With a 1.6 L four-cylinder engine and a three speed automatic, the gas pedal is basically an on-off switch, and in the 30,000 miles I’ve driven it, I don’t think I’ve ever averaged much better than 22 miles per gallon US. Then I remember that when this car was made, petrol cost less than a third of what it does today (about half, in adjusted 2023 dollars). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's also the snub-nosed Telo. I have absolutely zero need for it, either, but it is just so unusual looking that I would be quite happy to have one given to me.
