Number of SEs at dealerships or "arriving soon"

It's hard to say without know the MINI SE lease residuals in the USA. If you use the 1% monthly MSRP depreciation estimate, then it could be 18-19% depreciated. Now with TFL in CO, I believe they managed to get the $2,000 state rebate as well?

I'm going to go on a limb and say Tommy bought the car personally (Aug 2021), claimed the tax credits and then sold the car to TFL Corp. at fair market value AFTER April 2022 tax filing. Honestly I don't think they lost any money selling at $22k with the business write offs.
I called Sandia about the iconic they had. The manager was very nice, but wouldnt sell it to me for the same price they got theirs for. Said something about them having a special deal. I was offered a few bucks off sticker for the iconic on the lot, but the savings and the trip they took wasn't worth it so I got mine from the Denver dealer.

They got the 7,500 federal and 2,500 Colorado credit. If they got it in 2020 it would have been a 4,000 Colorado credit.

Also, lets not confuse what a store asks and what they actually get.

Haha, the sales manager at Sandia said they got a ton of calls after that video went up with people asking for the same discount. She told me that it was a discount corporate gave them as a YouTuber/Influencer, and it was not something the dealership could do at the time.

One more reason why publications (etc) shouldn’t be bragging about the discounts they get. If you read about aviation, you’ll notice that every single article about a major aircraft purchase only quotes the value of the deal at “list prices” with a disclaimer that airlines usually get big discounts off list. An influencer shouldn’t go online and say that it’s a pretty good deal at the price they paid with all their discounts, just state the value of the item.

This TFL thing kind of reeks of the airline miles bloggers bragging about how they fly all over the world in business class and get into lounges and don’t pay for anything.

Had they given me the same discount I would have risked the 450 mile trip up I-25 (literally up - about a mile).

yea getting all these insane point deals “I flew Emirates first for 40000 pts” then pitches Amex cards. Meanwhile go find that 40k F product. It doesn’t exist. Or better yet churning a bunch of cards to get sign up bonus, those are some pretty hefty spend rates

Nice try, but Albuquerque elevation is higher than Denver.
So the SE is even quicker in Albuquerque because the air is even thinner. I would have made the trip down then up then across, then down the up - now I am lost.

I've yet to even take mine out of the city. Santa Fe is only 50 miles away (and another 1k feet up), and it's theoretically possible to make it there and back, but at 80mph freeway speeds I have my doubts.

Tangentially, one nice thing about EVs in general is they work better at higher altitudes than ICE cars because they don't breathe air.
