Number of SEs at dealerships or "arriving soon"

Maybe I’m just out of touch. I remember at Mercedes the leases for employees were very very good
Generally they are but the big auto consortiums that own 19+ brands/dealerships are cheapskates. My buddy in Western Canada says the Ioniq 5 is marked up $30,000 and EV6 is $20,000 above MSRP.

The leasing scheme at Benz was handled by corporate at the time. In Canada

A friend mine in the UK worked in F1 they had a leasing scheme is direct at Mercedes. You order which car you want and it’s X price. He worked for a team that is powered by MB that starts with a W ends with S. the prices for run of the mill stuff was almost free

Yup. Neighbour never took advantage, but he said junior service advisors got B200s (back then) for $199 for 12 months with 0 down, SAs could get C300s for $299.

Delivery is Friday for me. Then straight to my detailer for the paint prep and coating
I haven’t gotten around to polishing and coating mine yet, but my garage is almost ready. Waiting on that new compressor to be delivered (real soon now). I’m kinda kicking myself for not adding a full front end PPF through the dealership (added to my payment), because this thing is as aero as a brick and at just 3600 km the nose is already peppered with tiny chips.

Went to my local Mini dealer yesterday. Their website has 7 SE Coopers in inventory, but I didn't see any of them. Not on the showroom floor or in the front parking lots.

Again, why the histrionics?
I've been wondering that myself with all this performative counting.
Really giving this guy a run for his money...

Funny guy.

I just figure that the information may be useful, or at least of interest, to some.

If that's not you, well, then the solution is obvious: don't read this thread.

Total number of MINIs peaked at ~7200 before Christmas, at which time there were 251 or 252 SEs. Now the total has declined to ~5700, while the number of SEs has continued to increase

That said, my local dealer has apparently sold the one I ordered, although they still do have three left (up from zero pre IRA).

The dealer I got mine from about a week and half ago has a bunch. I walked in and they had the exact spec I wanted. I got it for below sticker.

Considered the Ioniq 5 SEL at sticker and Limited at $5k over plus the $2k-$5k bs add ons that I wasn’t willing to pay for like LoJack and random ppf pieces. For the price I got the Mini I couldn’t pass.

Do you think the discounts are in relation to SEs not being part of the IRA scheme ?

Seems like since the IRS incentive is no longer available the Mini might not be as desirable since the range and battery are so small and low. In CA I did qualify for a $2,000 rebate which is a nice additional discount.

If the $7,500 IRS discount was still applicable I think I probably would have paid sticker. They told me they were selling over sticker in November. I am just curious if others are getting discounts too. In hind site I might have gotten even more if I was more persistent but I needed the car as my I had to return my Audi lease by January 1 and I wasn’t planning to buy it out.

I was just at my dealer this morning and noted they have at least half a dozen new SEs on the lot, including two on the showroom floor. I don't think it's because they can't sell them, the lot is full of inventory and it seems the SE is now a healthy percentage of the ongoing inventory.
