Careful, if they have a high rolling resistance they can ruin the range of the SE. I see Tire Rack now has an Electric Vehicle Tuned search option, which is super nice. Some expensive options, but Michelin tires are not listed as EV-tuned by Tire Rack.

Range!?!? I don't need no stinkin range!

I'm liking my Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires I recently got. I recommend these but like I said, I don't really care about range.

Considering spacers also, not sure if 15/20 is too much. Have any pics? I was thinking 12/15 as I don’t want them to overly poke out.

Anyone running the AC Schnitzer lowering springs.

I run 15mm front and rear but I have ST coilovers. I had 10mm in the front and 15mm in the rear but I think it works better with a square setup.

I don't think AC Schnitzer are compatible with the SE. H&R and Eibach have lowering springs that are TUV certified and KW/ST have coilovers that are also TUV certified for the SE.
 
15/20 puts the wheels flush on my F55 with 16s I’ll have to measure the SE

I had a fun time getting the correct lowering springs for my F55 in NA. H&R doesn’t list the correct PN for it here and it defaults to F56. Ordered them and got the F56 listing. Had to order them from one of our Porsche parts suppliers in Belgium
 
I can't comment on tire recommendations but another modification suggestion would be wheel spacers. They're not expensive and easy to install and give the mini a bit of a heftier stance. I use 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the back. ECS Tuning has some good options. Just be sure you get (the proper) slightly longer lug nuts.
Agree. @F14Scott provided links to a really good set of spacers as well as the longer bolts. One note, though: if you live somewhere that gets real winter and lots of salt is spread, it’s wiser to keep the spacers off until spring. Even though many of the spacers are anodized or powder coated, the spacers will live in a harsh environment and are subject to wear and the salt will cause serious galvanic corrosion in short order. That can lead to worse problems, including off-balance wheels and shorn bolts.

Seems like AC Schnitzer has SE specific springs. I know a lot of the times they will just re-brand eibach or H&R springs; but sometimes they adjust the spring rates. Maybe I can be the guinea pig.

I enhanced my SE's aerodynamics by deleting the fake hood scoop, but I couldn't find any aerodynamic bits for the SE on AC Schnitzer's website. Can you provide a link?

The pic doesn't match, but the press release shows it. I confirmed with AC Schnitzer in Miami that it does fit the LCI SE.

Buying those now, that's a great deal. Does anyone know the torque spec for the lugs on the Mini in ft lbs?
The owner’s manual is off by a couple of foot-pounds. The correct spec is 140 Nm, which is just over 103 lbf⋅ft.

For sure that’s what I figured. I know sometimes these brands adjust spring rates. But no data is provided. I will probably end up going with H&R. Just don’t want the car to get bouncier or too stiff.

On a side note, my black waistline is arriving today and I also got me smoked rear fog lights. So installed pics to follow.

I use 105 foot pounds. Not sure what it is in Canadian.

I’ve also seen it listed as 103 foot pounds. So, this is actually a multiple choice question.

Lol yup. Most torque wrenches aren’t that accurate, anyway. Consumer-grade click wrenches are usually ±5%, while a decent electronic wrench can be within ±1%. Better beam and split-beam torque wrenches can be accurate to fractions of a percent, but are only as good as their operators (ie, not most of us). I upgraded from a Chinese-made, big-box click wrench to a Taiwanese-made digital, and my neighbour brought over his SnapOn torque meter and we checked the lug bolts on my car. Set to 140 Nm, the digital was 139; the click wrench, calibrated two years ago, was 148 Nm. o_O
 
BMW 17MM head is about 85 ft lbs, Porsche 19MM is 104 if i recall correctly. Someone once told me that there are standards for the bolt.
 
Weird my 2022 manual says 101 lbs ft / 140 Nm (I never checked until now). I just use the 140Nm on my Taiwanese click wrench.
