Is there a way to have six presets for each band? Currently preset 1 is a FM station, 2 is a SiriusXM station, etc. I want 6 FMs, and 6 SiriusXM presets.
Thanks

I set one quick preset to my radio preset list, and you can set many stations mixing the bands in the radio preset list. Then you can use up/down arrows on the steering wheel to select, or use the menu.

I don't like change. I must be over 40!

I want to go to FM and have 6 FM presets, then I want to go to satellite and have 6 satellite presets.

Then if preset 1 is station 20, and preset 2 is 23, and I want to go to 21 I use the steering wheel. Then if I want to go to FM I change the band, etc.

The MINI SE is almost perfect in my book. I only have a couple of very small gripes.

...

3) Run flat tires should be an option. The factory obviously has RF tires in the correct size in stock, so making them an option should be simple enough.

When we picked up our car and the dealer was explaining the tire repair kit, he said that the SE hasn't been coming with runflats because they haven't found any that work 'right' with the regenerative braking system. I'm not sure exactly what 'right' means as I didn't ask any questions, but assuming he's right that'd be why.

Wow... that's probably the craziest thing I've ever heard from a dealer! He probably just blurted out the first thing he could think of that was unique to an EV.

Regenerative braking is no different than regular braking from the tire's point of view.

Well, with regen, the car can go from accelerating to decelerating and back much quicker than with friction brakes, so that is a difference.

But I too am skeptical that it is different enough for the runflats to care.

Maybe it does more frequently during regular driving but moderately aggressive driving can see rapid braking immediately after acceleration and then right back to accelerating. Could even be instantaneous with a skilled driver using left foot braking.

Run flats are known to reduce gas mileage on ICE cars so the SE would probably take a pretty big range hit if equipped with them. My guess is they couldn't find run flats efficient enough.

Yup, this is the most likely reason. I have been looking at a lot of EU tyre labels for both winter and summer tires, and every run flat variant I have seen was rated at E or worse (with A being the most efficient).

My Pirelli P1 run flats work great. Almost 4,000 miles of worry free driving. They are a wee bit stiffer, but not objectionably so. In fact, I think the car handles better. Range seems about the same, but I did specifically select the lightest weight run flat tire I could find.

I also think the brake excuse is dubious. The MINI traction control on ICE models does a lot of braking too, can't see how regenerative braking would be significantly different. The range hit (i.e., high rolling resistance) seems most likely.
