Hi all,
I had the GRU oil changed a week or so back by my local mechanic, using his four-post hoist (cost A$30!, using my oil). The local(?) (120km away) H dealer took a sample at the last service and I didn't like the look of it. I collected the old oil in a clean Alfoil tray and poured it into a clean glass jar. Please see photos. With full sun shinning on the jar it looks a metallic grey colour. With strong sun behind it, looks quite opaque.
I purchased an oil analysis kit last week and today, after giving the jar a good shake, took a sample. I'll post that off tomorrow and should have the results here by the end of this week. Will let you know the results.
