Sometimes while on a road trip , you need 90% SOC to make it to a destination ,or another DCFC. Idling fee should be applied when an EV as finished charging. As far as I understand and have been using fast chargers, the charger knows the SOC of the car. It SHOULD be easy enough to program the charger to stop charging at 80% and then charge idle fees. Or raise the price at 80%.
It's not like we live in the middle ages where there needs to be a person standing next to it, or in Oregon for that matter.
(Oregon does not allow you to fuel your own ice car!)
