Are you going to miss all those doors? Personally, I'm so glad MINI didn't quit making 2-door/3-door cars like most companies did. I'm even happier MINI made the smallest, most nimble BEV rather than simply replacing the Countryman PHEV's engine with a bigger battery (and maybe, but not necessarily, a larger motor).
Sorry you deal with it too. His is where I park when I visit, which is a lot since he's close and widowed. It's not even his tree either, but the neighbor's on the lot line. He's suggested to various neighbors to cut it down though. New neighbor even built a fence around the tree so it's here to stay.I know what you mean about messy trees. My father has a Tulip tree in his yard. In the spring, don’t park underneath or downwind of that thing. Entire blossoms get cemented to your car with sap! What a mess.
When I bought the car in 2016, we used the back doors often since I had a kid who couldn't sit front seat yet. It was a downgrade in size only from a CR-V that I bought when my kid was 5 months old. We kept my prior car, which was a 2 door Civic Si hatch until it rusted apart. I feel like I'm going full circle back to zippy 2 door hatches. Kid sits in the front now so no need for 4 doors. I am so glad this is a smaller car. I've driven the Countryman during longer service appointments as a loaner, but prefer smaller zippy cars. Are you going to miss all those doors? Oh cool! Love the look! Your car looks awesome. And yes, except for the union Jack scuttles they are identical down to the wheels and stripes!
I have not seen mine - totally my choice because my willpower to wait for direct deposit from the sale of my current Mini will fail if I go in person! Being serious too. My dealer had called just over a week ago to say it would be 1.5-2 weeks. So I was slow on starting my sale to Carvana or Carmax. Then on Tuesday evening, I got the call saying it was in. All the things I scheduled to do on Saturday had to be moved up. Best I could do with Carvana was a Friday sale. Opted for direct deposit, but that still takes 1-2 days to process/clear. Better than a check that would be held for a week by my bank (we're talking $17k so they hold those for longer). So it's all tick tock for me. My willpower waves even without seeing her! I could drive by today and see if I can find her since they are closed Sundays lol
I am debating on blacking out all chrome and dk gray with black either kits or vinyl. And doing black tail lights and scuttles if I do. That's something I decided I'd wait on and see how I felt after spending time with chrome.
Looks great!
I have the BRG with white roof. I almost changed to black, but my car was built months before I thought it would be. Next thing I knew, it was too late to change so I guess my decision was made for me. It’s all good; I love both white and black with the BRG.

Because you're not looking for white door handles, I'm guessing your teen chose black for the roof.I was so torn between the black or white roof I let my 17 year old son make the decision for me...
Just as an FYI, black shows dirt more than the chrome as a whole. I kinda wish they offered body colored door handles. Though wouldn't make a difference since most of my cars were black or very dark gray. This is my first non neutral color ever.I don’t mind the chrome, but after 2 days with the car I’m thinking of blacking out the door handles...they show fingerprints even if you just point at them...

We have just over 2 years before mine starts driving. Not sure he'll get to drive it much. He'll have to earn his way by driving stick firstBecause you're not looking for white door handles, I'm guessing your teen chose black for the roof.
What a treat for a teen to have a MINI Cooper SE in the family! My dad's Fiat 1500 Cabriolet sports car took twice as long to get to 60 mph, but I loved driving it. Yes, Fiat made a sports car before the 124 Spider.
Those are oddly popping up as not being designed for the current door handles but they look nice! The listing says F56 though. Hmmm..Over the weekend I happened to come across these door handle decals for MINIs, wondering if they'd look good on my SE. They seem basically to be vinyl wraps for the door handles.
It's beautiful! You will find the heat pump is also loud outside the garage. I never seem to hear it when I'm driving, however. I love how little battery it uses compared to our Clarity Plug-In Hybrid's resistance heater.I am a bit shocked with how loud the heat pump sounds in the garage.
Thank you! I don't mind a noise at all. Defintiely didn't hear it while driving. My kid asked what it was and that made me paranoid I think. I did quite some spirited driving though and thought the estimated rage was still good. It's right around 30 today too! That heat kicks in much faster than my old Mini does. It's beautiful! It's great to have the touch-screen as an option. I use it very seldom, but it's sometimes easier when there are a lot of choices on the screen.Though not sure I'll ever use the screen as a touchscreen. I'm just too used to iDrive
I am sure there will be a time when it is. I got so used to not having one likely. Only issue with the idrive is I now have navigation, which I didn't before hand. So there are 2 new buttons. Cup holders are different too so I need to figure out how I'll rest my phone. It's great to have the touch-screen as an option.
