This is clearly the most boring part: "Today's the day!" for however many days.

I know, I know, it's in the production queue, and there is no telling how long it stays in that queue but we seem to think it is about two weeks. It's been one week now?

I’ve been counting the days. The wording in the Mini Garage is unfortunate, since it spends so much of the time sitting on “today’s the day”. It would be better with “production prep” or something.

Sometime between 5 and 7 PM EST mine went "in the paint booth". So our vehicles are very close together.

Close, but not in synch. Mine is still showing the prior step. I wonder how many times a day I'll be checking now, and if we should take this exchange of detailed steps to a private conversation!

Did you smell that new car smell? That's the new leather seats in my 2022 Mini Cooper SE, which was "dispatched from factory" today! So, as expected, that was exactly two weeks from "today's the day" to "dispatched from factory". It's starting to get real for me.
Now the really long wait to get on a boat and come to port. I think the last leg was the hardest.

It’s getting real now.

I decided this weekend to get moving on selling my 17 year old Acura. Posted it this morning a bit north of the midpoint of Kelly Blue Book, and got 22 interested parties, five of whom willing to show up today. Sold it to the second person who showed up because he effectively met my asking price!

Now we are waiting for our Mini!

Totally cool! Great job on selling so fast ! I admit I worried about private sales in Jan but at least Carvana gave me what I'd hope to get. So I went the lazy route! Hope your Mini shows soon!

I ordered my SE in September, 2019, and sold my 2006 Honda Insight in November, 2019, expecting my MINI Cooper to show up four months later. My wait ended on August 24th, 2020. This car is worth the wait.

That's excellent you were able to sell the Acura so quickly. @bldxyz and I are in the "at the port" phase for four to five days now. Hopefully will get a carrier assignment soon!

Yeah... The completed deliveries portion of the spreadsheet shows 3-5 days as typical, with none outside of 5 days. Our cars are sitting on a dock waiting for a ship? What's up with that?

Mine was over 2 weeks waiting IIRC. That part sucked. As did the wait at the other port before coming to me. I had a few holidays in some of mine though.

I made a huge error here. It is 3-5 weeks as typical, so I was getting all worked up over nothing. Now I need to understand what is wrong with my projections based upon that spreadsheet, and when I should be expecting it!

So... by looking at all the West Coast deliveries, those that listed the At Port and At Dealer times, it ranged from 25 to 32 days. So that figures to be 4/6 to 4/13 for me! Not bad! I can relax about it getting on a boat now.
