Pretty sure it is available on the higher trims. Note that it isn't an option on the lowest trim of the ICE Coopers ("classic" trim)

So for the 2023 Sig trim your only choice is one of 4 colors, one of two wheels and a single option to add roof rails. Besides the roof/mirror caps, they also removed choice to not black out everything and options for HUD, cruise control and alarm systems.
That isn't much different than 2022.

Half dozen colors
Black, white, body roof
5 spoke or victory wheels, both 16"
Roof rails
I think that was all the choices I could have gotten.

This talk about aerodynamic wheels reminds me of the dog ugly centers of the 82 Firebird.

The C4 wasn't much better, and my wheels on my 93 Z28 also were fully, and replaced with 5 spokes from a later firebird. But I am biased. Besides minimizes, all we need are Cragar SS and deep dish mags

I'm laughing if the black waistline trim is now standard on the Signature with no option for chrome.

2020 SEs are very rare. Were they charging less than original MSRP?
One of them maybe, but not really. If you follow the link, both have about 5000 miles on them. One is going for $37750 and the other for $33448. The cheaper one is Iconic trim for sure, it has Power Spoke wheels.

Ridiculous being no tax credit available, but what can you do?

It does seem strange, but then again, I just saw an article reporting that 80% of new vehicles are being sold for more than MSRP. There are also going to people who don't want to wait, and/or for whom the cost doesn't really matter for what to them might just be a "toy" like a boat or a lake house. Only if the cars don't sell reasonably quickly could you really argue that they are overpriced.

First post here- I have an order for an SE, the dealer tells me it’s “scheduled for production” and will be a 2022 model. Seems to contradict info on this board, so we’ll see what happens.

If you don't have a production number/production week along with the VIN at this point, it's going to be a 2023 as this is the last week of 2022 production.

My production week is week 8 so I was contemplating changing my order to 2023 but decided against it since the rates would be higher at the beginning of the new MY and I may have to wait another month or two for it

When did you order your SE? When does your dealer claim it will be delivered?

Congratulations on ordering your SE, whatever the model year turns out to be! Fortunately it seems that the only difference with the standard 23 models compared to the 22s is two different shades of paint (midnight black 2 and Island blue) and an alternative upholstery choice. Everything else remains as was.

My dealer is not able to put my island blue order in yet. I was on hold for an hour with mini usa today before i got a call i had to take. will try tomorrow.

Interesting. What do you mean by higher rates?

December 18. They say March delivery, no more info.

Thanks, as long as the price hasn’t changed it doesn’t matter to me! My order is a base in red, so the rest shouldn’t impact me. I saw that the trim may have changed to black, that’s fine with me too.

Then it appears you are getting a 2022 SE after all. Perhaps it was one your dealer ordered before you decided to buy and the dealer was able to customize it to your specs just before it was built. It should be getting on a boat soon. I'd ask for a VIN so you can visit My Garage over and over and over, waiting for the linear graph to show progress.

You'll definitely want to get the production number and VIN from your dealer so you can find out what process it is in. March delivery means it should be built already.

If it is getting built any time next week I believe it should be a MY 2023. Rates as in finance/lease rates. If it is a cash buy then it wouldn't affect you - otherwise it would cost a bit more for the 2023 in interest at least during the first few months of the new MY. I hope it is what @insightman said and that you are getting one the dealer ordered before!

Looks like miniusa.com finally updated the SE page for 2023 model. Builder is still showing 2022 though.

Been like that a few weeks. Frustrating since my dealer has my 500 deposit, and the three boxes to check and he cant order it since BMW didnt open up blue. My wife is wondering if it will ever happen, and wondered if we should just order the gray. But she likes blue.

Waited on hold an hour yesterday. Called today, said i was next in que. waited 15 minutes and decided to let them call me back. I cant listen to the pompous sounding AI voice every few seconds telling me to wait.

Edit: got a call back after about another 15 minutes. Very nice sounding gal put me on hold for a few minutes to look into it. Bottom line, the dealer can order the car when the system (and website she thinks) gets updated. It will get updated when it gets updated. She said it a bit nicer than that.

I am glad I was one of the first to put money down on a 2023 hoping to get it around May only to wonder if i will get the last 2023 off the line.
