It is integrated into the backup camera but lacks cross traffic check and automated braking that usually comes with these systems.

My dad and I were in the dealership to install the Clarity Sensors and we asked them Is it fully integrated to the back up camera? They said it is fully integrated to the back up camera and it was $190 to install
We have the rear parking sensors on our Clarity but don't know how they're in any way integrated with the back-up camera. The camera shows what's behind the car and the sensors make a beeping noise. Maybe I'm missing something.

no (nada, zilch, null) rear parking sensor electronics integration with anything at all.

The ultrasonic sensors in the bumper wire to a module that gets mounted under the felt on the driver side of the trunk. There are plastic wire ties which "integrate" the wire harness with the internal chassis.

The module in the back side of the trunk, under the felt, beeps. If you have good hearing, with the volume turned up all the way (at install, you have take the felt liner out to adjust the volume post install), you will hear the beeps.

The Bolt and Volts integrate all those warnings into the display and show red arrows in the rear picture if something is coming by radar, and little lines in the driver's display that show distance in front and I think it was rear too. Probably one of the many upgrades, but that was an "integrated system".

I like Clarity a lot overall (better than both Volts), but not for the back up sensors :)

Well, with an un-curable gadget affliction, I ordered the Clarity back up sensors a week or so ago. Since ordering, I found the installation instructions online and almost canceled. Here are the installation instructions (click on the underlined text, the Honda PDF is under the Installation tab). There is a significant amount of disassembly, which strikes me as slightly nuts for a Honda "standard" option.

Had them installed this morning (about 2 to 4 hours). Just a few marks for the wear, and some slight marks past the sensor circles which the dealer offered to patch / paint in warmer weather (extremely minor).

I only tried it briefly backing towards a slow plow attachment in a parking lot. The sound had been turned down possibly a bit too much, so I need to explore how to pull a side panel and turn it back up a bit. (There is a volume trimmer on the control module which is bolted to the inside the left side trunk wall, under the left side trunk trim panel!).

The biggest bummer is that even though it all "plugs in", there is no integration with the back up camera like the Volt and the 2018 Accord have.

So, if it ever helps me to avoid a person or dog or car, I suppose it will have paid for itself. Otherwise for the cost (about $830 installed), but especially for the amount of removal of seats, panels, and drilling into the bumper, I'd say definitely skip it. Bummer.

We had ours installed when we bought the car. $721.00

Got front and backup sensors installed today. Quite happy with the results. I would have preferred the backup sensors to be installed per the template provided by Honda, but weren't unfortunately. Don't quite like the look, but they function alright
The backup sensors engage in reverse
The front sensors engage with a switch. There was an option to not get the switch, but some sort of auto engage at slow speeds. I chose the switch so the sensors could function when pulling out from tight parking spaces in reverse
Total cost $500 including installation

Hello,
I was curious where did you get the parking sensors for the front bumper? Were these OEM sensors from the Honda dealer? If these are not OEM parking sensors from Honda, can you please provide the link.

Has anyone installed parking sensors on their front and rear bumpers? If so, can you please post photos and videos. I may be considering these. Thank you.
