Clarity AC Poll

I have had my condenser changed under warranty around 40k miles and again under extended warranty of the condenser around 80k miles. At 40k, it happened on a very hot day and I had drove up and parked on a gravel/potholed forest service road. No A/C when I got back to the car hours later. The second time it was a very hot day again and the car was in a parking lot for a couple of hours on a very uneven paved spot where the right front wheel was 5-10 inches higher than the left front wheel. I have reasonable suspicion that high line pressure from external heat conditions along with chassis flex have been the cause of it for me.
In attempt to limit risk, I've had a local fab shop build a strut tower brace to help limit left-right chassis flex. Crossing my fingers that I don't have the same problem at 120k.

Folks, There is a service bulletin on the clarity for the condenser. You can get it replaced for FREE. I had it done on my 2018 and it blows colder than ever. Hope you all can get it done and/or reimbursed if you had to pay.

Replaced the AC condenser on my 2018 PHEV Clarity in 2022 after a rock hit it and it lost coolant. Cost $1682 but was covered by my insurance after deductible of $500.

Son of a B..... My AC went out today, just 23 days after getting a new condenser put in. I hit a semi-big hole where I could hear the bottom of the car scratching the pavement, but nothing even in the galaxy of a major amount. A light tap, I would call it. The next morning - the AC is blowing warm air.

I just got the damn thing replaced. Now I have to go back to the dealer, and pray it's another condenser. If not, I will have to do like others have done and beg Honda to pay for a percentage of a broken evaporator or whatever else the hell it is.

This is infuriating. I just got the damn thing fixed. Uuuurrrrgggghh. With luck, I will be changing my vote to 2 condensers replaced in the near future. So they can install another defective condenser in my car. I want to punch something:)

My cold air just went out and I haven't had time to take it in yet. Just discovered this poll... Yikes.
Welcome to the nightmare:) Seriously, if you haven't gotten the fuel pump impeller recall done (make sure that you have less than half of a tank of gas or they wont do the recall) knock out that and get your ac checked out simulaneously. Make sure that you tell them about the condenser part warranty extension by Honda, because you can get it for free if you are "lucky" enough for it to be the condenser. I did exactly that 24 days ago, unfortunately it stopped working again yesterday; so I need to bring it in again and hope its another condenser, because anything else appears to cost an arm and a leg.
