Notice the records from 2015 @ 18,000 nationwide.
A little local nostalgia remembering back in 2012 driving my 80 mile Leaf, I had to go to Vancouver to get one (there was me as a Leaf owner, another couple on Saltspring Island and City of Nanaimo bought 2). Perhaps a Model S once in a while, and a few Leaf competitors ie: i-MiEV about.

Just curious as to when other members started their electric journey and what model EV did you start out with?

Bought my first BEV in April, 2019, a Kona BEV. Great car, really enjoyed driving it, so did my wife. After that was totally sold on EVs. Don't own an ICE car now, just two EVs, a 2023 Solterra and a 2023 Ioniq 6. No turning back for me.

2015 Leaf S with 24kW battery. 6 months later a family member had an accident which wrote off the car and with replacement insurance and no Leaf S's in stock got a free upgrade to a Leaf SV. Then 2018 Leaf 40kW. Then 2023 Aryia Evolve+.

The early years we never paid for public charging and it often included talking to people about EV's while the car was charging.

It's been such a relief not to pay for gas these past 10 years --and the never ending maintenance requirements of an ICE car.
