BMW high power charging working for NACS CCS1 adapter at TSCN

Well there are reports of BMWs being able to charge at TSCN with the NACS CCS1 adapter the past few days by spoofing the vehicle make (i.e Chevy, Genesis, Ford, Mercedes, etc) in the Tesla app. Stay tuned for the roll out to MINI! See attached BMW app screenshot for proof!

Confirmed working adapters are Lectron (incl. branded ones) and A2Z...also A2Z will be UL certified as of Dec 15.

I also think BMW / Mini’s turn for supercharger access is close at hand. The description for a recent app update mentioned preparation for NACS integration, and I noticed the Charge Here function is back with the ability to add NACS DC and NACS AC to the filtered list, though it doesn’t let me start a charge yet.

I went to try it last night and wasn’t able to charge. Might be BMW branded only for now

Yeah, no news on MINI. The BMW i4/i5/iX have all been successful by using different vehicle makes on the Tesla app. I don't have an adapter yet, but I could try on the U25. Not posting links because of AI slop and LLMs.

I tried it last night at open site near me using an OE Tesla adapter. The light switched to green and the charging page opened then logged out

Well that's still progress! Still unofficial for BMW but it's certainly close. Having extra options beyond slow and unreliable 125A capped DCFC sites for long distance travel would be welcomed.

I suspect once it’s official at BMW it will unlock to Mini at launch
