Well Clarity sales keep increasing but...

Honda predicted selling 75,000 over five years. I don't know if that is all three models or just the PHEV. Monthly sales need to be 1,250 to hit 75K in five years.

I’m sure they will get to that number and then some.

Only 12K were shipped to the U.S. before production switched to build for the Japanese market launch. There won't be any more until the 2019 model shows up in Dec or Jan. Future years need to ramp up a bit to reach the 75K total.

InsideEVs numbers are just for the U.S.. I don't know if that 75,000 figure is a global total, but I thought I'd just throw that out there.

This may have already been covered in the forums before, but InsideEV numbers don't agree with Honda advertised numbers. I've noticed this over several months.
Those Honda reports don't separate out the three varieties of Clarity. They just report the total number of all Claritys sold. Where does InsideEVs get their numbers?

The breakdown is an estimate. Honda, as you say, only gives us the total number of Claritys sold.

Dominick, what do you base your estimates on? Tossing chicken bones, eye of newt, tongue of frog, volcanic sacrifices, or some more logical approach?

You know what they say, "I could tell you, but then...."

I know he uses different methods, depending on the specific car. The Model 3 for instance involves tracking VIN numbers and other things. I'm not totally sure how he does the Clarity.

It's still sad how slow sales are moving. A mid-size sedan like the Clarity that can easily get 50 miles of commuting on EV, and another 280 as a hybrid should be selling like hotcakes, not like warmed-over toast. I get that out here in the center of the oil industry, but the rest of the country should be gobbling these things up compared to 3-4 times the sales of Tesla Model 3 over the Clarity.

Even the Prius Prime is still beating Clarity sales...:(

Prius Prime sales are a total mystery to me. I mean, good for them, but I find it wanting from a number of angles. (Front, rear, three-quarters rear, three-quarters front :D)
