Maybe if the sales people even KNEW they made the car (and managed to charge the only model on the lot for more successful test drives)...
They can't in Canada the number is going backwards as they cancel all the orders that were placed (specifically base models) and forcing buyers into the 2019 models or cancelling their orders. Even if the sales people sold the car, Honda has only shipped like 500 into Canada, and now dealerships are scrambling after selling upwards of 10 when the only got allocated 2. It's a total cluster@&$). Truly don't get it (not one EV has been able to keep up with demand in Canada, but manufacturers keep shorting the delivery of units. (just look at egolf boards, leaf boards, etc etc. There is WAY more demand in Canada than the numbers show (and yes i realize these are US only numbers). They could easily sell another 500/1000 if they actually shipped the damn car to Canada. (yes, i'm bitter, Honda cancelled my order without so much as a sorry, just said take a 2019, no idea on delivery date or takenyour deposit back.) I'm not sure how many cars fit on transport, but i think Canada only received 1 or 2 deliveries nation wide. Crazy, but damn they want everyone to buy a civic since they shipped thousands of those. Can't miss the deals they are offering on Civics. (I know they don't make money on the Clarity's but I'm sure they don't make much with the civic's either with the deep discounts. It's a strange strange EV world.
