Aftermarket suspension: springs / coilovers

Yeaaaaah bwaiiiiii

That looks quite a bit smoother than many of the dirt road around here!

Here's a MINI designed to go fast on our forest roads (I'm not going quite this far though)

Also all I could think through the whole video is just how obnoxious those fart can exhausts are! Very glad my MINI doesn't sound like that.

I am in fact planning on a slight lift out of necessity. Currently looking at these which have rebound adjustments and independent ride height and spring preload adjustment. They do say elsewhere that they can ship whatever springs you want but I have to confirm what they have available for the MINI.

Where did you get these dimensions? I'm looking for the SE's shock travel but can't find that info anywhere

I was chatting with the owner of a very quick VW Alltrack the other evening. I told him to leave the quiet muffler on as his car was an awesome sleeper...

I am ordering the H&R springs, hopefully the ride quality won't change too much. My daily commute has some stretches of relatively bumpy freeway and the car is already slightly bouncy.
Have had my H&R springs on stock dampers since late last year. Only changes in ride quality have been positive in my opinion! Less floaty, and tighter around turns. It is a slightly harsher ride, but not bouncy (unless you're on road undulations that are spaced perfectly for the car's wheelbase).

Got a chance to measure some things when swapping my summer tires. I guess it's semi-common but it seems the SE is riding around on the front bump stops even with the slight lift vs the ICE F56.

Front:
Shock shaft length: 5 3/8"
Bump stop length: 2 3/4"
Droop travel (from ride height): 2 7/16"
Free upwards travel: 3/16"

Rear:
Shock shaft length: 7.5"
Bump stop length: 3.5"
Droop travel (from ride height): 3"
Free upwards travel: 1"

Carsten, do you still have your SE? I've been looking for alternative springs for my own SE, and have a partial list of standard BMW/Mini springs.
