Also, did you reach that price with incentives like loyalty etc? Thanks

Honda is offering 1000 off for loyalty and 500 for first responder, luckily I was able to take advantage of both.

Clean Vehicle Assistance Program provides grants and affordable financing to help income-qualified Californians purchase or lease a new or used hybrid or electric vehicle.

Do you qualify for most of the IRS tax credit? If so your net cost would be about the price of a Honda Fit.

Yes, after I generate taxable income by converting IRA to Roth IRA. Also, income-qualified Californians will receive $3500 in rebate. After stacking all the rebates and tax credit, the price is reduced in half. Now you see why Clarity is widely available in CA.

I am surprised that there are no deals like there were last year at this time in SoCal.
Figured with everything going on there would be better incentives.

Very nice! Did you sell the older model on your own or did you break even trading in? Would you mind sharing how much you got for it?

I just got a 2020 Moonilt Forest Touring for ~$35,500 OTD from Barber Honda where I live in Bakersfield, CA. Dealer quoted me $33,200 including destination. I also was able to apply a $1000 Medical Professional Appreciation offer to the down payment. Sales tax where I live in CA is 8.25%. I also ended up buying an extended warranty (discussed in other forums), 8 yr 120K for $1450 (they matched the quote from Curry Honda that I got online) (OTD price above does not include this warranty).

I purchased a 2020 Clarity plug-in, base model, this week for $29,519 + CA sales tax & license from Anderson Honda in Palo Alto, Ca. Financed through Honda @ 1.9% for 60 months. Price was set up through Costco Auto.
Then I was stupid and agreed to HondaCare for $3450 and some other add-ons. I went back the next day and cancelled the add-ons after reading this forum and finding that I could buy HondaCare for about $1450 from other dealers. I'll probably do that soon.

The lowest price for Honda Care I found for CA is from curryhondacare.com

    8 years 120k miles $0 Deductible - $1,704
    8 years 120k miles $100 Deductible - $1,599

Yes, I found Curry, too. I was looking at the 8 year 100K miles, which should cover me since I don't commute. Quote with $0 deductible was $1454.

Yeah I showed the dealer the quote for the 8/100 and he actually applied the price to the 8/120 for me!

You guys got really good price. I bought 2020 touring on 5/31/20 at San Jose for $36500 out of door. Not qualified for loyal customer.. I talked to about 10 different dealers in Bay Area and this is the cheapest I could bargained. They let me walk away without calling me back. Weird

I went to Spreen Honda first in SoCal, but they did not want to remove the ~$160 worth of wheel locks they were trying to include (they had removed the theft patrol add on and paint protection as well) so I went to Riverside Honda. Ended up paying $34527.90 OTD. I am assuming the OTD price does not include the interest correct, because I am not including interest charged. I am sure I could have lowered the price a tad more if I really wanted to, but I was satisfied.

I went through this same process last year when I purchased in Aug '19. Unfortunately, I gave in under pressure on the extended warranty in the dealership at time of purchase, then realized from this forum that I had overpaid by 2x. Key point is that you do not have look only in your state. (I.e., don't look for the lowest price only in CA.) I'm in NY and bought HondaCare from a dealership in OH ($1,364 for 8 yr 100K mi no deductible). Cancelling was actually was reasonably smooth (email to the selling dealership), but took a little while for the refund to get credited to the loan. HondaCare is HondaCare - it comes from American Honda and the dealership that happens to sell it is irrelevant. Don't dilly-dally, though; you have to do it within a specified number of miles (was it 6,000?).
