Got Touring version for 34630 OTD of 37284.35 Did I do ok? * Moderator's note: this thread has become hugely popular. To help many searching here, please feel free to add the dealership where you purchased your Clarity, along with the price paid, of course. And thanks for your input!
Yeah, we paid just under MSRP. Dealers here have no incentive to deal as they can’t keep them on the lots. $5k state rebate makes up for it though.
That’s amazing! Where are you located? I haven’t purchased yet although dealers here seem to be about 1-2 under MSRP.
You did great! Did that include a trade-in? At that price plus the tax credit plus any state rebates, that's a remarkable car value! Can't believe they're not selling like hotcakes.
This is a great OTD price, well done! I have been asking dealers here in central Texas to give $2K off MSRP and no one is willing even though they have plenty of inventory. Where (state/city/dealer) did you buy from?
$34,905 plus $699 dealer crap fee plus tax. Touring with weather floor mats. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
$2000 off msrp. 37,900 OTD (includes tax, registration, doc, etc) last Dec. No trade. No financing. Should be less now with the much greater inventory. Interesting that our neighbors up north can't get their hands on them because of the generous rebates (CAD $14,000 in Ontario). They have better sense than us!
sorry haven t been here ... no trade in. cash payment. like phev newbie says most are selling internet pricing of 35900. like somebody else said they are not willing to push out cars with discount pricing since its new. I played one dealer against another but i think he was willing to sit on car than sell to me .. he even indicated as much when i went to purchase but ultimately prob felt like giving it to me. Indianapolis area. You will see most dealers in midwest winter have inventory sitting for 40-60 days average. But one dealer refused to budge from 35900 even though all his clarity were sitting in lot for more than 60 days. Oh and we dont get any state rebates. In fact our retarded state charges more for hybrid since they lose out on gas taxes
I paid 35,980, which was 1,500 off of MSRP. I live in Florida and they matched a competitor 2 hours away. I just went to Cars.com a few minutes ago and the cheapest Clarity Touring model I could find was for 34,290. Here is the image - must be logged in to view - I think
Yes. Free all weather floor mats here also. Honda dealers always seem happy to throw those in. The salesperson actually just wrote them into the deal without even asking. They are nice. Now I just need the trunk liner.
Paid $35,390 for touring. Dealer Documentation Fee $299. Picked it up yesterday in Boise and drove it to Utah home this morning in the snow and wind. Was very impressed how the Clarity handled the lousy road conditions.
I got free all weather mats as well. Those are a must have in Florida with the sand. I believe they were going to cost around 160 or so if I remember correctly.
Glad to see it handles well in the snow and wind. I can concur it handles well with heavy wind, but curious how it handles with heavy rain. Since it is a heavy vehicle, I would assume it will do well. Congrats on your new purchase!
Got mine for $32,500 Canadian OTD with our nice $14,000 provincial rebate. Not interested in the Touring as it is $4,000 more here in Canada and they removed the power/memory seat in the Touring trim
I have a deal in place to get one for 31,790 before tax/tags on a base with a MSRP of 34,290. I’m pleased especially because they are giving me an excellent price on my trade. They initially told me 32,790 was their best price. I asked if they could take another 1,000 off. Initially, she said no as it was as low as they could go. Called me back yesterday and agreed to the reduced price. There are so few base models around here. I called a handful of dealers last week and were within 150 miles and this was the best I could do. If I was more patient, maybe I could’ve done better as they’ve are not selling in Pennsylvania.
On 1/19/18 in Lexington KY got a white touring (51 miles on odo) for $35,480 plus $495 in doc/License/lien fees. Declined dealer protection package so got pin striping, splash guards, and first aide kit for free. Took advantage of Honda financing of 1.9%/5yr. Using info from this forum I got Honda Care D80 8yr/100,000m/0deducible for $1,304 instead of dealer offer of $2,650.
