If you’re really keen for black mirror caps and don’t want to buy a pair of primed caps and have those painted you could almost certainly have your yellow ones vinyl wrapped. That way you can always remove the black vinyl when you see the light and realise that yellow is in fact the best colour!
I never even had the option of energetic yellow mirror caps, having gone with Chili Red body color and roof. Instead I got vigorous grey mirror caps.
@FrankFromCarp - I couldn't find a Mini key fob on your daughter's web site. I would like to have one of the Racing Green fobs, which would match the exterior color of my MINI SE and have no access to a 3D printer or materials. I believe there are a number of MINI owners that would also purchase one, if available.
I am sorry if my post was misleading. Dangerous Ladies is a very successful developer and vendor of Cosplay props. When I found the 3D print file for the fob, I sent her the link for the it and asked for one in Racing Green as a Xmas gift for Mike Wazowski. She immediately downloaded the file and said she would print it. I don’t know if she is would add it to her catalog because she chooses to only sell stuff of her own design. I will ask her to consider a small run of the fob. There appears to be a lot of British Racing Green SE owners. If I can get her to do so Texas22Step, I will let you know. There are a lot of 3D printing services out there so that could be an option for you. Sent from my iPad using Inside EVs
Here you go (I ordered this in black but green is available) https://www.shapeways.com/product/WKV35UNQB/key-fob-for-f56-car-rev-3?optionId=59665584&li=more-from-shop
Finally took some pics: Made the key fob smaller commencing chrome delete smoke film over the fender lights (fronts not even close to fitting) Next up: belt line, emblems, grille surround, and lights. After picture coming soon.
Unfortunately for me I did not realize at the onset that Shapeways made 3 different variations of the MINI fob wrap. I ordered ver 2 on Amazon, but it won’t work on my fob. Further info on Shapeways site indicates that I really need ver 3. So, I will attempt to to exchange. We’ll see how that goes. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
In anticipation of plasti dipping my front and rear emblems, I stuck black stickers on to peel off and keep the yellow S after: But the black S sure looks good. Deleted the yellow start/stop switch: Probably the most functional customization was this Proclip phone holder:
If I hadn't been able to get a "classic" SE (separate fog lights, a yellow grille "blade" and yellow mirrors), I would have become a one-man Energetic Yellow max/hood-scoop min movement.
All you have to do is click your heels together three times and press the third button from the left:
Ah, they must've missed that button on my build. Supply shortage? It seems to have deleted your side mirrors, too!
There was a recall due to that minor problem with the hood-scoop delete button. My dealer glued the mirrors back on. After that, MINI deleted the delete button from future builds.
