Delivery out of Seattle will be a pain, if they do that, but having to go up there for any service would be a BIG PAIN. I likely would not have bought a Mini with service so far away. I'm south of Tacoma by a bad 30-45 minute drive as it is.

Next closest dealer is in PORTLAND, about 2 hours south.

You'll change your mind about maybe not making the purchase after you start driving your new SE. Hopefully, Seattle MINI has a DC charging station (not likely, however).

Well good news! Mike contacted me to say that my Mini has been released to the trucking company!

I also asked him if the car would be delivered in Tacoma and he said YES.

I will be curious to see how long it takes to get to Tacoma!

My Mini has switched to "In Transit" again, but I don't know if that just reflects what my MA told me (released to trucking) or if it means it has actually been loaded up. We shall see.

Hey y’all. So the good news is that my Mini Cooper SE is out of the Panama Canal and heading up towards Oxnard.

The bad news is that I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer earlier this year, and as treatment has been getting more intense, I just had to reduce work hours and pay. It’s clear that taking on another $500/month payment isn’t the best financial move as I may need to go on disability soon. I was hoping this would be a nice take my mind off Cancer gift to myself (& maybe mid-life crisis since I am under 50), but I am feeling more stress than excitement about this purchase.

So, there will be an available Signature Plus in a week or so in the Bay Area, unless something changes substantially in my financial situation in the next week.
if that doesn’t happen, is Anyone interested? Figured I would give folks on her first dibs to contact the dealer. I’m not sure how this would work - if anyone has been in a similar situation, that would be great to hear how you did the handoff.

I’m so sorry to hear that, BayFront, but I have no doubt someone will come along to snap up your newly available Signature+ lickety split.

In the meantime, sending you all kinds of positive & healing vibes and our hopes that you’ll be wearing an all-day grin behind the wheel of another SE you’ll be ordering just a little later down the road than your original plan. :)

Just found out that someone backed out of an all Moonwalk Grey SE at my dealership. This is what I ordered, but my order got turned into black roof/mirrors by mistake. I was offered the all grey. I assume the grey/black will now be available. Dealership is in San Diego. Same boat. Due at dealership on the 21st.

Took delivery today and love my new SE. Ordered on 7/30 and locked in my deal. Glad I ordered when I did, my dealer is now adding $2,000 to MSRP on any new sales.

My Mini made port on Thursday 10/28 and got assigned to a truck company on Saturday (or so). Tuesday my dealer said it didn't look like it had started on its truck journey yet. But it must have hitched a ride because it showed up at the dealer on Wednesday 11/3. I have my pickup appointment tomorrow (Sat 11/6) at 9:30 AM!

My Mini just went through Panama Canal and is due in San Diego on Nov 12. My dealer said it was supposed to be at its final port on November 12. I thought West Coast cars went into Point Hueneme.

My car was on the Grand Duke. It hit San Diego on 10/26 in the early AM. Left there around 4 PM that day. Docked in Long Beach around 3 AM the next morning. Left there around 4 PM same day. Hit Port Hueneme around 5:30 AM on Thursday the 28th to offload the Minis. So 3 quick port hops in So Cal. As far as I know, yes, all Minis disembark in P.H.

I'm getting antsy over here! My car arrived in the US in Baltimore on the 26th and it looks like cars on the same ship arrived at their dealers ahead of mine, despite being further away (I'm in Pittsburgh). I was hoping to get it today, but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

Also, I inquired about getting replacement parts for all of the chrome and MINI wanted $2,000 plus $700 for seven hours of labor. Yeah, that's a hard pass. They sent the spec sheet, so I have all of the part numbers and will just buy and install them on my own. YouTube tutorials to the rescue.

    I appreciate y’all!
There’s an unclaimed BRG Sig Plus arriving at Mini of Marin (SF Bay, California) in the next couple of days, so if anyone is interested ask for Tess.

  22. Hi! I just put in an order for my SE on the 1st of this month. Dealer told me that it won't be put into production till first week of January and I did not receive a purchase order number. Anyone else going through this? If so, what did they say is the delay? As of now I am looking at a delivery date of end of March but I don't even have a purchase number in order to track it and I have asked the dealer but they say they have yet to receive one.

  23. It took six weeks before I was able to pry a number out of my dealership, and by that point the car had a VIN and was already in the production queue. I get the impression that there is a lot of “horse trading” between dealerships for production slots. My sales guy said they obtained my car’s from another dealership. They may not be giving you the number because they just don’t have it yet.

For what it’s worth, I made my deposit on August 23 and the ship my car is on is literally docking in Brunswick, GA tonight.
