I'm pretty sure that faux fake hood scoop is just part of the camouflage, like the fake headlight halos and the covering on the tail lights. I really don't expect any type of scoop on the J01.
Of course, I clicked "Like" regarding the absence of a hood scoop on the actual Zhangjiagang SE. If true, how much effort went into the development of that camouflage hood scoop? Is it just a Chinese front-door mail-slot or is it a custom creation that required multiple iteration/approval cycles before arriving at the final design? And who decided where to stick it on the J01's non-clamshell hood?
I got the Nokian One. In this last snow storm they were almost as good as my jeep. So if they work this well over the winter I sell my winter beater TJ.
Interesting. All-seasons don’t generally have enough tread block for snow. But I find this car’s traction and stability controls to be quite uncanny (for a front wheel drive).
Just a little slip from the jump but the best front wheel drive I've ever had so far. We'll see how this winter goes.
If I find a steal on a third set of rims, I may just get the Nokian One as a third set — “intermediates”. It really seems like a shame to be driving on full winters from Halloween until mandatory winter tire season begins on December 1, and again from 15 March until there is no risk of snow, sometime in April, while we have many days during both shoulder seasons with temps in the 70s.
As long as you don't have to go drive down Beaver Hall Hill to Square Victoria-OACl. That's the downside of an underground city warming up the roads.
The videos of buses and tow trucks and cop cars skitching into each other are a constant source of amusement here.
Here are the hoods on two camouflaged G56 MINI Coopers. It appears you are correct that MINI stuck the same mail slot on both the G56 and the J01 camo cars. The camouflage is visible within the mail slot of the bottom example. Could there be a more fake hood scoop than this?
It’s the near 50/50 weight distribution and the weight is packed down low. The SE drives completely different to my S that being said I better order my winters today
I was going to get steel wheels at first but they aren’t like 55$ anymore. More like 90$ my cost… Vs like 125$ for alloys that are hub centric. No brainer With TPMS sensors I should be in for around 1500$
