I'm curious if someone has echoed my 20-year Honda Insight "IGO ECO" plate in California. I'm too lazy to check--could you do that when you're searching for other plates? Thanks.
Old post reply. In CO there supposedly are free charging stations. If you dont have the EV plate or a decal on the windshield and are caught using one of the chargers you may get a fine. If I didnt get the EV plate they would have charged me something like $0.50 for the decal. Logic doesnt apply because you pay the EV road charge and the charge for potentially using those chargers every year when you register the car. I got the EV plate. it matches the blue of car. Now the fun will be if a loser coal roller figures out that the plate that says electric vehicle and has a lightning bolt in the middle is an EV and rolls coal on me.
Generally in my area, I find that the coal rolling vitriol is directed primarily towards Tesla drivers. I think they played too much Super Mario...
I finally got mine. I was wondering what was taking so long and while renewing some other cars this afternoon I asked them to check and sure enough it was in. You can see my hitch install barely too. I only had to cut plastic on the bottom, not on the rear facing section. It bows up barely but I'm OK with that.
Thanks. I made that toward the end of the 2+ months mine sat in quality check with quite a few others' on the forum.
Working in aviation my two would be: VNE SE for the Mini in honour of its zip And for the “other” vehicle - a bloated by comparison ICE AWD family hauler …..simply: MTOW Alas both deemed way too dorky to see the light of day by my long suffering wife who must also been seen in public driving these cars, but my pilot buddies have laughed.
I thought you took a picture of our car -- note that our garages are even similar. We haven't gotten the vanity plates yet. We're Peter and Patrick, also known as "the two p's", so our plate will be 2PS 4EV
If only I could keep my garage looking like yours…. If I can close mine without putting a foot against something to clear the door, something’s amiss…
Of course, there's this story from five years ago, when Quebecers were finally able to order personalized vanity plates: https://montrealgazette.com/opinion/columnists/bill-brownstein-montrealer-sneaks-gross-vanity-plate-past-saaq
