I can't speak to the nuances of the ordering process, especially the manner in which dealers handle orders - but I placed an order on October 20 and remain without a production number. These days it is difficult to determine the right amount of "persuasion" when communicating with a motoring advisor at a MINI dealer.Put in an order for my SE Nov 1st. Was told it won't go into production till first week of January and do not have an order number yet. Trying to be patient lol anyone else going through this? Any reason for the delay? TIA
Yes. This happened to me. I got one eventually. Thanks for the information. I guess it's just sit and wait. Someone posted that they didn't get a production number till 6 weeks after putting in their order.
Re GAP insurancee. BMW adds 2% to the face of the loan. Credit union I used adds 1.5%. Insurance company charges something like $20 a year.
Question: MSRP is say 35,000, finance 35,000 and take the car and papers for your CPA home. Three months later when 34,000 is owed car gets totalled. How much with GAP does insurance pay?
Think about it.
Hi all. Newbie to the forum after lurking for a month or so. I’m in Scotland in the UK and I ordered my enigmatic black level 3 Mini Electric on the 9th of October. My dealer said that they didn’t expect to even get a build number until January as the factory weren’t building any more UK models this year, with delivery expected late March or April. I loved the car from the test drive so I had to accept it and just wait it out. I didn’t expect to hear from the dealer until January but as it turns out my dealer emailed me a couple of weeks ago with a build number which is said to be starting week 4 2022, with delivery expected week 7 (around mid Feb). Unfortunately we don’t have the same system you guys in the states have so I can’t track my build myself, I’m reliant on dealer updates, but so far they’ve been great on the communication front. I’ll just have to continue waiting, reading what you guys have experienced on this forum and watching every Mini Cooper SE/electric video on YouTube until I get my hands on my own SE!
My SE sat at the Baltimore port for three weeks. Most of that time it was in the hands of the carrier and MINI could not give any more updates. When my SE finally hit the road it arrived in Minneapolis within two days.Has anyone else experienced delays at the US port before?
Bottle of Meade and Glasses - check! Seamless transaction as it should always be!Very nice. Did you get a box with a bottle of weird wine and two cool MINI glasses? : )

It's great you got to see it in the showroom--even if it's now just the showroom of a MINI service center.View attachment 14019
Successful delivery to Tacoma, WA. Was worried it might come without HK or Adaptive Cruise but received both!

I got a pair of MINI socks (and a last-minute, going-out-of-business price-break on the scoopless hood I ordered).Wine? All I got was an umbrella and stuffed British bulldog. [emoji12]

Dunno. I got the update on the my garage mini site. On the site, i did not see port location. I was able to get an allocation spot from dealer. I had to ask for it. Yet, they were helpful and gave me the spot quickly. Still at “the port.”
Perhaps MINI's bottleneck is a lack of left-hand steering wheels?I just got an email from my dealer to let me know that my SE is tracking to arrive with them in five weeks so I should have it just in time for Christmas! That’s 3 or 4 months ahead of the schedule I was told to expect when I placed the order as I wasn’t even expecting to receive a build number until January. We don’t have the Mini customer order tracking system in the UK so it was a great surprise. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
