It is well known that the week of April 7th (THIS week) owners of new Hyundai EV's are to be receiving an email to register for their FREE CCS to NACS adapter. I've not seen a PEEK yet and it's got me nervous. I'm traveling on a trip in May in which I could really use that dang thing. What the heck is holding Hyundai up? The dealers have NO clue. Sad how it was officially announced and now as if they kicked the can down the road once more. I'm not a happy camper

Same, including the trip in early May! It’ll be interesting to see if the email ever shows up...

I guess I'm one of the few people for whom this is 100% irrelevant. There are literally zero Tesla chargers anywhere I'm ever going to drive my car.

FYI, received this email when I contacted Hyundai for an update:

Thank you for contacting Hyundai Customer Care. Hyundai is excited to announce that U.S. owners of the current Hyundai KONA Electric, IONIQ Electric hatchback, IONIQ 5, and IONIQ 6 models equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) port will gain access to 20,000 Tesla Superchargers in the United States using a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter. Hyundai designed this DC fast-charging adapter specifically to work with its battery electric vehicles, including its e-GMP high voltage platform. This milestone nearly doubles the availability of DC fast-charging stations for Hyundai models, greatly enhancing owners’ convenience and peace of mind.

Current owners of Hyundai EVs who bought their vehicles on or before January 31, 2025, will begin receiving emails with instructions on how to redeem their adapters starting April 16th through May 30th. To be eligible you must own an eligible Hyundai EV that was purchased/leased on or before January 31, 2025. You must also have an active MyHyundai.com owner’s account and have opted into receiving emails. If you do not have an MyHyundai account; Original owners can go to www.myhyundai.com and press “Create Account” to register. Secondary owners can go to www.myhyundai.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Contact Us” and then click on “Update Ownership.”

Eligible, contactable customers will receive an email from Hyundai to verify that their customer account information (shipping address, vehicle model, vehicle model year) is correct. Customers must review and confirm the adapter offer, the adapter usage terms and conditions and confirms the shipping address is correct. Eligible customers will then receive a confirmation email and a subsequent email containing a tracking number once the adapter has shipped. If the shipping address is not correct, click ‘No, the above information is incorrect’ and you will be directed to MyHyundai.com to update your shipping address. Updated addresses may take up to a week for a customer to receive a new email to redeem.

Thank you for being a valued member of our Hyundai Family.

I've spoken to customer service now 3 times since January regarding their promise to provide the NACS adapters for new EV owners. Got my new 2025 Kona EV Limited in December. They keep telling me the same drivel. Patience it's coming. Others have gotten them from all I've seen. I never got a peep of an email regarding them getting me one. They must have some strange pecking order regarding release of their emails. The last gal assured me by month end it would come. Today is the last day of the month and not a thing in email. I have to say I see this as a fail on their part. They really should have had their act more together with this program. I'm no longer confident it's even going to happen.

Still haven't received my email... I contacted Hyundai again to enquire about it. Will be doing a road trip in July so would be really nice to have it as an option!

Finally got the email! Seems my last message to Hyundai may have done the trick? Now, when will it actually arrive is another question...

Started inquiring about the free NACS to CCS1 adapter for my Ioniq5 in the last quarter of 2024. Confirmed my MyHyundai account, verified my address, email address many times. I have called by phone, and have 4 case numbers. Still no adapter.
End of june I was told to look for it in 26 weeks (mid-October, 2025).

Has anyone had the courage to buy a 3rd party adapter (Down below $100 now). I just might spring for a LENZ or YOMILE or HUACAITU.I can't imagine all these products on the market if they do'nt work.

I would recommend the Lectron. You can get used ones on ebay for a little more than $100. I tried it out and got ~97 kW charging rates consistently at supercharger stations. A little low but can charge in 30 minutes. At least didn't have to wait for a station...

I got an email that my Hyundai adapter is shipping soon so I returned the Lectron.

"Thank you for being patient. Your adapter is pending shipment. Once it is processed, you will receive an email with a tracking number.
Again, we appreciate your patience and look forward to delivering your complimentary DC fast charging adapter."

You should keep bugging them.
