I went to my local MINI dealership in Richmond VA, Crown MINI, and they had no Countryman SE ALL4s for sale, nor any schedule to get any. In addition, they couldn’t find any cars available within 200 miles to transfer to their dealership. I’m looking for any color with the Iconic trim level.

Has MINI suspended shipments to the US?

My local MINI dealership has complained about how MINI sends them inventory in fits and spurts--it's either feast or famine. I wouldn't be surprised if tariffs and the tax credit ending are also factors.
Would you entertain a used Countryman SE? There are actually some used ones available...

So the U25 LCI is getting a minor battery update with a nominal change in capacity. Probably a Gen 6 motor update with some added efficiencies.

Still happy with the U25 and F56!

Thx! When did/will the LCI start production? Do these carry a NACS adapter or a dedicated port?

Start of production is March 2026, but as for the lack of inventory, it was probably just cleaned out. Word on the street is Nov 2025 for supercharger access?

From what I have heard, MINI will start including NACS adapters with the 2026 Countryman SE starting with the November production. Native NACS ports are expected as part of the Countryman's LCI. I'm not sure when that LCI will be, but there will be a small "refresh" in March 2026. This refresh will include a slightly revised battery pack with a net capacity increase of less than 0.5 kWh, but I have not seen any mention of a change to the charging port. It's possible that build will include a NACs port.

MotoringFile is just full of AI slop now, because the battery update was only officially for iX1 and iX2. It's only conjecture that the U25 BEV gets the battery update, and their article was verbatim plus flowery AI to cover things up.

Now that BMW has delayed MINI’s transition to the Neue Klasse platform until the early 2030s, the company will probably wait to work out all the Neue Klasse's NACS kinks before engineering an NACS upgrade for the "left-behind" electric F60 Countryman.

Might be a challenge because the F60 PHEV only has J1772 and no DC pins for the 10kWh battery pack (7.6kWh pre LCI).

I was told today by a MINI service advisor that the U25 Countryman SE is only being made to order now, no general stock. Customers can still spec them out and wait for a build, but there aren't any being made to sit in dealer lots. At least for the US.

I was at the Mini dealer last Monday handing over my big cheque for Eddie the EV. There were 3 Countrymen (men for plural?) in the showroom, none EV, one of the previous gen too, which I thought a bit odd. This dealer has 6 EVs in stock according to their website.
Problem withe the Countryman EV, IMHO, is it is expensive for what it offers and has far more competition in that space. Its range for its size and weight is mediocre. I looked at the lease deal and went: meh, not at all attractive.

The Countryman SE is the only electric MINI available in the US, though. So if you want to stick with the brand and keep an EV it's hang on to an F56 SE as long as possible or get a Countryman SE.

Just because you asked, I ordered it back in May 2026, then saw absolutely no movement and tbh - I gave up.
At first I checked every couple of days, then turned into week which then a couple weeks ago I just stopped checking.

Think of over sized child super excited as she logs into the app, seeing the spinning object, hoping for movement, but it went from waiting to be schedule for production, back to order accepted, it just bounced back and fourth.

Hoping and dreaming for some reason my purple binasoar - that's her name and she is slate gray with a white roof with black 18" wheels in classic/ionic/max comfort/white interior and hoping she will come to life someday. I had to guess on the color.. I think it has purple tone.. May be not.. either way she will be loved. e.g. wanted a lighter color on the roof.

To give you some back story, my local min dealership (less than 5 miles from my housr) sales manager (guy who runs the mini sales) tried to sell me an Ioniq5 (new), Honda ev, - and would of sold me any car but a Mini. He also explained in great detail - why filling out the form on Mini website to order the Mini EV was a lie.

Then he had is new hire sales guy - send me a bunch of info on over priced MINI - gas of course. Cause EV are not available anymore. WOW.. so glad he works for MINI. No wonder Mini sales are down. o_O
I walked away with what part of I wanted an EV did not hear. Anyway... :(

So me being me.. I called around to find a dealer 1.5+ hour away who agreed to take my order. I had to drive past 2 Mini Dealership on the way to the one which would take my order. He didn't take a deposit or anything and said it may be here in 2-4 months. I figured this is what I wanted and Rivian r2 is just too bloody big (nice just need to remove 1-2 feet off it). Sent me a details price of what the Mini will cost. Generally a nice guy..

It's been crickets..

Anyway.. I was about to place my r2 (order a r2-d2)... Then I checked Mini one last time.. hoping... insert a girl staring at her mini garage watching the spiinng things.. going pls pls pls pls have some movement.. My ev - purple binasoar... can't come down to be an r2 (nice but how am I going to park this in San Francisco)..

Mini came through.. My purple binasoar is at the port waiting to be assigned to a boat. She has VIN.. She is alive..

This would be 2nd mini. Had an Mini Cooper manual transmission convertible who I gave to my niece, who never drove it and ended up with a family friend. What was I thinking.. I loved that car.. We had fun.. Anyway the family friend loves it and he has super long hair that blows in the wind as he drives it like it should be driven - with the top down!
