What's the average wait time ordering a Rav4 Prime?

My son ordered a Rav4 Prime on February 3 2022 here in upstate New York how long would you say the wait time is? He called his dealer few days ago to ask if they have a build date or tracking number. His dealer told him they don't get tracking numbers for builds. They said it comes through Toyota for an allocation that allows them to see the build date, port departure/arrivals, etc.

I ordered a Rav4 Prime SE in November 2021 and just got it a couple weeks ago. It took several conversations with the dealer to figure out how this works, but your not really "ordering" the car from the factory. Instead, the dealership is allocated cars each month, and when they are allocated a car that matches what you want you will get it. So the important question to ask is how many people are on the waiting list in front of you, and how fast you're moving up in position.
