The Tesla (Lotus) Roadster is long gone and the MINI Cooper SE is short gone. Looking at this list, there are no fun cars on it--even the Lotus Eletre is an SUV!

On this beautiful fall morning I just returned from a wonderful drive on a riverside road to the local cider mill in my MINI Cooper SE. Life is good.

This is the SUV list, I'm compiling a 'car' 'coupe/sedan' list now for another thread.

My pick from that list is still the Solterra which I own (2023 model year). That is based on how well it handles our rough FSR road to our cabin with high clearance and great suspension, soft on top but stiff on bottom to not easily bottom out even with a good load. It handles that road very nicely, gliding over the rough stuff incl great on washboard, and firm and stable on the corners. The 2023 is not good for long trips, because of its slow fast charging. But that does not matter to us, as we have another EV for trips. It's range is long enough to get to our cabin, and we can charge there with our off-grid solar system. I should mention newer models are much better with fast charging.

If I were to replace it at some point, it would be a Ford F150 Lightning. My son bought one last year, and while not quite as smooth as my Solterra on our FSR road, it is pretty good and better than any other trucks I have driven, incl the Silverado EV. The bonus is being able to haul more stuff, and onboard power for tools and power back-up to our cabin. And that frunk is huge and very, very practical.
