Actually, it is possible to get US EVSEs that can charge at up to about 14 KW on single phase power, my friend has one on a 60 AMP circuit for future proofing.

Any link for this? I would be willing to bet it is a DC type charger, not an AC type EVSE.
From my calculations 60*240*.8= 11,520 W so to supply 14kW that would require a circuit ampacity of 80A

The subject is regarding the capacity of the on-board charger in the Kona, nothing to do with how big your EVSE is.
Sorry, I checked with her, you are right 80 Amp Circuit would have been needed, but still single phase power:

This only needed a 60 AMP circuit and can do up to 11.5kw, so it was a decent future proof option.

I wonder why Hyundai ticks off customers by offering features in some markets that are unavailable in others?
I paid up for a U.S. Ultimate because I wanted all the available features. I would really like folding mirrors. So now I know I didn't get everything that Hyundai could easily have put on the car.
OTOH the motors in the mirror mount and on a power passenger seat do add cost.
The Ultimate list price in the U.S. is US$46,540, which includes a mandatory $1,140 freight charge. What does a top of the line model list for in other countries? What's the USD equivalent? What features do you have that we don't, and what do we have that you don't?

Here in Canada an ultimate with no charge white paint is $55,086 Canadian dollars including freight but before taxes or incentives. That would be $41936 US at today's exchange. The Canadian version seems to have all the options of the US ultimate plus heat pump,battery heater and roof rails. The US version has a better traction battery warranty at 10 years 100K miles, ours is 8 years 100K miles(160K KM)

Yes it does. The entire quote states I would like a memory function/button for seat, mirrors and HUD positions for at least two drivers.

But we're comparing MSRP / list prices, before bargaining. The Canadian list price is US$4,600 less and has more equipment. I'd have taken the Canadian deal if I could have.
