What about the infamous Mini rattles and creaks?

Yeah, no idea what you are talking about. The only noise is the stupid pedestrian warning noise.
 
Wait, is this rattles thing like JFK still being alive, having kiddie pizza, or drinking bleach? People really don't believe that, do they? [Sarcasm is alive in well, and sometimes lives online.]

No rattles/creaks for me.

You can turn off forward ped warning but not reverse in bimmercode, and then add a menu button to toggle on/off.
 
2022 MINI SE is my first mini, and I’m very impressed with its built quality. It feels really solid and no rattles at all in about a thousand miles / 6 weeks of ownership.
 
Pierre, will you please add links to the articles you are referencing, and give a few more details. When my wife and I tested a pretty worn demo at one of the BMW driving events we didn't close the windows because of the antiseptic that was sprayed in the car. I usually had the "complimentary" satellite radio on in mine, which long before radio came from satellites was how my dad taught me to fix unwanted noises.

But, if journalists heard rattles and creaks, perhaps noise some of us plebes think is normal is not, and we can look, err i mean listen for, and report back.

Yet you find the seat-belt klaxon that could save your life to be horrible. I don't doubt that you always remember to fasten the seat belt in your MINI Cooper SE these days, but what about 30 years from now? :)

The only thing I'd use Bimmercode to do is enable AM radio reception, but I guess that works only in the i3 because MINI did away with their AM tuner.

Seat belt fastening is ingrained in my entire being. I never forget. Plus, there is still the silent dashboard light to prompt me.

I wonder about that. I'm temporarily in a 2022 ICE Clubman S (sigh), and I found today it has an AM tuner. I think it's plausible MINI would use the same radio parts for the SE and just disable the menu option.

I've been begging for an AM tuner for more than a year but none of the Bimmercode experts have reported finding one in an SE.
 
You could stream AM from your phone via bluetooth if you use TuneIn or have a SiriusXM subscription?

The electromagnetic interference in EVs are just too strong for AM radio!

Thank you. Yes, those phone-based work-arounds are possible, but not convenient like pressing a button on the dash.

Our Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid has a 181-hp electric motor (interestingly it has the same hp as our SE), and I hear no radio frequency interference from its AM radio. I tried my 3" x 1-3/4" x 5/8" AM radio (ie. a radio with a tiny ferrite-core AM antenna) inside my SE and even without an external antenna it works fine.
 
I wish they had Android Auto for the MINI! Apple users always have it good! Anyways, I think it's primarily the high voltage battery and wires for the interference.
 
I'm an Android user, but I'm not missing android auto after a couple of months. The only thing I dislike is having to scroll through menus, which distracts me from the road for too long. I'm learning to use the buttons down near the control knob, so I can jump directly to the menu I want. I need to program the shortcut buttons.

Thanks, but it appears the MicroMitter transmits on the AM radio band. An FM radio, a Bluetooth module, or an iPod can be plugged into the MicroMitter's audio input jack to transmit audio to a vintage car that has only an AM radio.

Edit: Sorry, I'm just whining that MINI deleted the secret AM tuner that BMW included in the i3.
