Looks like a Lectron with a VW logo slapped on it.

I do not *think* we can charge at Telsa yet, but this is usually the first sign that it is imminent.

Looks like a very good quality unit c/w double unlock latches- one for CCS and NACS, also a better DC current rating than the Hyundai version- 430A compared to 350A. Hopefully it is certified by accredited certification standard.
Wonder what the cost will be...maybe free for VW owners?:)

If I am correct that it is just a Lectron unit with a VW logo printed on the side, it will likely come with whatever certification that Lectron provides. The UL tests for NACS adapters are quite new - I don't know if any of them have that. I know that Ford ships a re-branded Lectron - I recall that numerous design changes were made to satisfy both Ford and Tesla.

I haven't heard a peep from VW about whether anyone gets a free adapter. I already have a Lectron (originally bought for my wife, but then she got a free one from Hyundai), so I don't really need yet another adapter.

Then there is the question of plug-and-charge. Haven't heard a peep about that either. So one would still need to activate using the Tesla app. I know that was a deal-beaker for Ford, but when I use Magic Dock Tesla sites, I have to use the Tesla app, so that's nothing new.
