I've written 3 letters to Germany, begging the head of MINI to allow me to order an electric MINI without the blocked-off, non-functional, un-aerodynamic hood scoop they added after the pre-production prototype stage. The car will be built on the same Oxford, UK, production line as the base MINI that doesn't have a hood scoop (bonnet scoop?), so granting my request would simply entail adding a checkbox to the car's build sheet. I wrote I'd gladly pay extra for a hood that costs the company less! This is what Honda has forced me to do by not bringing the Honda e to North America.List of stupid things to do to an EV:
