TPMS - Did its Job?

For what it's worth, I just threw them on, drove home and they worked perfectly!

The second link looks like the ones I use (light background and black text). I’ve had good luck with them so far on two different cars.

Have you tried using it without the locknut? I can see how using the locknut makes it difficult to fill air in the tires when needed.

@Frankwell which ones did you buy that have the rubber boots?

I have never used the locknuts. I don't worry about someone taking them.

Like Robert-Alabama, I've been using the B-Qtech for about the past year. It is accurate to within 1 psi, works well on the dash for long road trips (which was the primary reason I bought it), and fits nicely out-of-sight in the center console (under the padded lid) for local travel (where it is out of the way but still can alert me with its alarm). I now trust it enough that I use it instead of checking each tire's pressure individually with my handheld tire pressure gauge.

@Frankwell which ones did you buy that have the rubber boots?

I got a Tymate, it's really small and plugs into the 12V socket. I have to tilt my head down to see it, but other than that it's okay. I was avoiding the solar powered ones because I didn't want one sitting on the dash, but now that I know that some of them can be powered by USB I may get a larger one next time. Although I sure would like to find one that indicates when a sensor has stopped transmitting instead of misleadingly showing the last known pressure until you eventually figure out through other methods that it isn't working.
