Li-ion batteries should last for 10 years or more sitting at low state of charge. As long as nothing is draining it. I would worry more about the 12 V lead acid taking damage from sitting on the lot.

Depending on how cold it is, your range might be as low as 25 miles estimated on EV, mine is around 35 right now, but it is pretty warm, around 35 degrees F. Also just switched to XIce3 snow tires.

On my recent 1,500 mile trip I started with a full battery with an estimate of 30 miles. The first day was up hill and down dale with the heating on and some snowy roads. By the time I arrived at my cousin's 500 miles later, I was pretty much out of battery. I had used about 10 miles worth before I realized, after one stop, that I had forgotten to engage HV mode.

I got a full charge at my cousin's with an estimate of about 35 miles EV. (The weather was considerably warmer.) I was unable to charge for the next 1,000 miles. While I drove in HV, I watched the estimate fluctuate by a few 10ths of a mile up and down as I drove. After 2 days, I still had 27+ miles when I put it into EV on the last leg. Most of the reduction in miles was for use in EV for the short times I was off the Interstate.

Long story longer--Yes, the car did increase electric range a little bit in HV mode.
 
Yesterday did a round trip of about 200 miles in the mountains. Switched to HV with 20 miles EV left. For the rest of the trip it hovered mostly between 19 & 20 miles. Went down to 17 on one long hill, but then came back to 20 over time.

Maybe maintaining EV miles works best in the hills?
